Chapter 27

-Dinner Time-

Everyone was noisy, talking to each other and fighting over food. That is, until Uncle Lao Shen walks in with Max and Nana.

"Kids. I have an announcement." Uncle Lao Shen said.

Every head turned to him. Qian Xi had an uneasy feeling in the bottom of his stomach from the way Max was smirking.

Uncla Lao Shen sighed and said, "We have a new addition to the new group. Jia Jia, Jia Yee, the rest of you, Max is your new member. Please guide him."

"Are you serious?!" Jia Yee cried out, standing up.

"This is ridiculous!" Junkai supported.

"I know right!! You can't just budge into our life!" Jia Jia snapped too, glaring at Max.

"I can. To get you back, I can." Max said, crossing his arms across his chest, indignantly.

"UhUh, bro. She's mine so back off." Qian Xi said threateningly, wrapping an arm around Jia Jia's shoulders.

All the kids that were present whoa-ed and TingXin cried, "Is this for real??"

Qian Xi turned beetroot red and quickly let go of Jia Jia whose face was also a deep shade of red.

Yuan smiled, "Yes. They're together."

Yi Lin looked at his brother, "Is my brother really giving up that easily?"

Zhi Hong stuffed food into his mouth so he doesn't need to speak. Yi Feng raised an eyebrow, "Zhi Hong. You're not sad?"

Zhi Hong swallowed the food in his cheeks and snapped, "You're asking a ridiculous question, Yi Feng. Of course I'm sad but Qian Xi is a better guy for Jia Jia..better than I will ever be or Yuan will ever be."

Yuan glared at Zhi Hong and hit his back, "Hey! I'm better for her, okay? But it's her choice! Don't speak for me, Zhi Hong!"

This made Zhi Hong laughed a little as Jia Yee leaned in and whispered, "Congrats, sis."

"Thanks." The older twin whispered back shyly.

Max cleared his throat with irritation, "I am still here."

The kids turned back to him and Qian Xi said, "And so you can't have her."

"We'll see about that." Max smirked with confidence just as Qian Xi and Jia Jia sat down.

"Don't disturb their relationship or I'll break your pretty face, Max." Jia Yee said dangerously.

"She won't." Junkai said in a hurry, calming Jia Yee down and pulling her to sit down. Then he looked into Max's eyes, "I will."

"Try me." Max challenged as he stared into Junkai's eyes while following Nana to his seat; between Zi Yu and Yi Feng.

"Okay, kids. Calm down and eat up. After dinner, go and do your revision for your end of year exams..." Uncle Lao Shen instructed. Then he looked at Max and the 19th group and said, "The five of you will have vocals lesson."

"Okay."
