Chapter 41

Jia Yee hummed to TFBoys' cute song that reached No. 1 on the chart in 2013, Magic Castle.

She stopped humming just as the sighing stopped.

Jia Yee smiled in content and started humming along to the song again.

Jia Yee closed her eyes tightly, annoy washing over her quickly.

She turned to her older twin sister who had been sighing the moment they sat down in their seats on the airplane.

"Will you stop that?" She snapped.

"Stop what?" Jia Jia asked, sighing again.

"That! Stop sighing!" Jia Yee groaned in exasperation.

Then in a more joking tone, she grinned and teased, "What? Is Qian Xi being a bad boyfriend?"

Jia Jia's face immediately darkened as she whispered, "We're not together anymore."

Jia Yee's grin was wiped off immediately as she gasped, "What happened?"

And with that, Jia Jia spilled the whole story of the entire drama-filled morning.

"Why weren't you there at the airport this morning?"

The whole TFFamily were hanging out in TF Entertainment's cafeteria, after bidding goodbye to the twins.

Qian Xi had just appeared and Junkai immediately bombed him with questions.

Qian Xi kept quiet as he got bombarded by the rest of the boys.

Zhi Hong glared at him as he said silently, "I know what happened."

And he spilled the story of Qian Xi and Alice hooking up and Jia Jia finding out.

"You." Yuan's temper flared, poking a finger in Qian Xi's chest, hard.

"You just let your girlfriend leave this place with a bad memory. And you dare show yourself here?!" Yuan snapped angrily, pushing Qian Xi to the ground.

Qian Xi kept quiet as he let Yuan scold him.

He knew when he was in the wrong.

"I'm sorry." Was all he said, before he turned on his heels and walked out of the cafeteria.

Loud music blasted out of the speaker loudly.

Qian Xi moved gracefully to the beat of the music as a bead of sweat rolled down his eyebrow.

He shook his head and sweat flew out of his head.

'I'm sorry, Jia Jia. I hurt you.'

'You're so screwed, Qian Xi!'

'Ah...I'm so stupid..'

With all these negative thoughts in mind, Qian Xi danced aggressively to the beat of the music.

"Qian Xi ge.." A voice interrupted his thoughts. He was so shocked that he jumped and landed in a wrong posture, thus twisting his ankle.

"Ughhhh..." He groaned, holding onto his ankle painfully.

Ting Xin entered the dance studio and closed the soundproof door behind him.

"You alright?"

Qian Xi grunted in response.

Ting Xin sighed and sat himself down beside Qian Xi who was still holding his ankle but looking down at the floor now.

They stayed quiet for a few minutes until Qian Xi whispered, "I messed up so bad."

"I know."

"I let her go without explaining."

"I know."

"I feel so guilty."

"I know, Qian Xi ge, I know."

Qian Xi sighed, tears brimming his eyes.

He didn't care that he seemed like a girl now. He didn't care that he was crying. He just wanted Jia Jia to understand him.

He didn't mean any harm.

"If you want..." Ting Xin said hesitantly.

"You can tell me everything that happened, from YOUR point of view." Ting Xin smiled, patting Qian Xi's back.

Immediately, Qian Xi spilled the entire story.

"I woke up early today because I knew she was going to leave. I wanted to spend some more time with her before she leave. Just as I was staring at her flawless face-"

"Ge, you know you sound creepy now right?" Ting Xin interrupted.

"Shut up."

"Sorry."

Qian Xi sighed as he continued, "A number I didn't know was calling me. It was Alice. I picked it up without knowing it was her and when I knew it was her, she asked to meet me. I declined but she said she knew about Jia Jia and that she will do something to her if I don't go. So of course, I went. We were talking, just talking, at first. She said she wanted to get back with me but I didn't want to. So there were a few problems. She grabbed me, trying to get me to kiss her and I was trying not to get close. Jia Jia came in then. From where she was standing, it must have seen like we were kissing. But I swear, we really didn't do anything. Then the rest of the story, you know what happens." Qian Xi finished, with a
Sad humorless laugh.

"I didn't know it was like that."

The two boys turned around to see the rest of the boys entering the studio.

Zhi Hong was the one who had spoken and he grabbed Qian Xi's hand in apology.

"I'm sorry." Zhi Hong apologized.

"It's alright." Qian Xi sighed.

"But why didn't you go to the airport?" Yi Lin asked.

"I got lost. Do you know how exasperated I was? Ugh. When I finally got to the airport though, she was already on the airplane. You guys already left. That's why I came back late..." Qian Xi put his head in his hands, sighing multiple times.

He felt so tired and his shoulders sagged with tiredness.

"So what are you going to do now?" Yi Feng asked.

Qian Xi ruffled his own hair as he mumbled, "I can't do anything now, can I? She's gone forever and I didn't even get to say goodbye."

Yuan suddenly exclaimed, "Wait!"

All the boys turned to him with high expectations.

"What?" Zi Yu raised an eyebrow.

"I got an idea." Yuan grinned and out came the idea he was thinking of in his wicked brain.
