Chapter 1

Everyone is buzzing with excitement at Times Square, impatiently waiting for the performance to start.

Chin Jia Jia and Chin Jia Yee were backstage, waiting patiently for their turn to come. They were the last of the contestants so they could enjoy all the performances. Well, only Jia Yee was enjoying it. Jia Jia trembled at the thought of standing in front of an audience.

"Jia Jia, seriously! Sit back and relax! Enjoy the performance!" Jia Yee said, her eyes focused on the 19th group. They are just a bunch of colourful people jumping around.

'Reminds me of the clowns I once saw in a circus...' Jia Yee nodded at her own thoughts in amusement as the 19th group click-clacked down the stage in their rainbow coloured high heeled boots.

One of the judge then called out their number and Jia Jia and Jia Yee stood up and as they pass the 19th group, the girl standing in front of the group smirked down at the 146 cm Jia Jia and snorted, "Heh...short." Her friends snickered at her comment.

Jia Jia stopped and looked down at her feet, clenching her fists. Jia Yee walked back a few steps, looked at the girl up and down and retorted cooly, "Heh...you abnormally tall coconut tree." Her friends quickly covered their mouths to muffle their giggles. The girl narrowed her eyes menacingly at Jia Yee.

Jia Yee grabbed Jia Jia's arm and when Jia Yee met eyes with the girl, she instantly knew they would be enemies in show business.

Jia Jia got a shred of confidence from Jia Yee and held her chin up as she stuttered, "Y..you.. colorful... unicorns." The judge repeated for the 20th group to step onto the stage now otherwise they would be disqualified. The twin quickly ran up on to the stage, forgetting about their argument with the 19th group.

"You may start,"

The twin bowed and introduced themselves. Then, the judge gave the signal for them to start. The music for 再见 started playing. Jia Jia and Jia Yee started singing together and the audiences went quiet. Anyone within hearing distance stopped whatever they were doing and listen to their singing.

The judges all looked suprised and looked at one another. "They are really good." one lady judge commented in a Chinese accent when the two girls finished their song.

"Uhm... W-we also prepared...another performance..." Jia Jia said timidly.

"This time we are going to do a dance performance." Immediately after that, another song was played. This time, the song was a cool rap song and the dance was personally choreographed by BoBo.

Jia Jia and Jia Yee started to dance to the beat and the judges were even more impressed. The girls were slightly panting when they came to the end of the dance.

Immediately, everyone who were sitting, got on their feet and gave the last group a standing ovation.

When the noises died down, one of the judges leaned closer to his microphone and quietly said, "Please, see me after this. Thank you. You girls have potential."
