Chapter 25

"I hate that Max! Why did he appear suddenly?! If he tries to touch even the tip of Jia Yee's hair, he'll get my beating!! Ugh I hate him!!" Jia Jia snapped angrily to herself.

She, as Jia Yee had predicted, was in her room, sulking and cursing Max.

Jia Jia groaned as she laid down on her bed and rolled around.

"I hate him, I hate him, I seriously hate him!! I hate you, Max!!" Jia Jia screamed, but was careful to not shout too loud so as to not let anyone hear her.

"Ouch."

A very familiar sarcastic voice scared Jia Jia as she rolled too far off and went 'thud!' On the floor.

"Oww..." Jia Jia mumbled, rubbing her back. Then she looked up to see Max leaning against her doorway.

"What are you doing HERE??" Jia Jia raised her voice at the end angrily.

"Why? Don't you want me here?" Max pretended to be sad and pouted. He walked towards her slowly while speaking.

"I don't want you here nor do I want to even see you!" Jia Jia snapped angrily,

"Whoa whoa. Since when have you become so mean?" Max asked, feigning hurt. Then he smirked, "But I like this Jia Jia too."

"You shut up. I hate you. So get out of my room!!" Jia Jia said through gritted teeth.

"Hey, you want to hear a secret?" Max asked, ignoring Jia Jia. Jia Jia eyed him suspiciously. Max took that opportunity to continue.

"I came not for Jia Yee, you know? This time my target is..." he stood in front of Jia Jia and leaned down to her eye level, "...you."

Jia Jia blinked repeatedly before she regained her confidence and snapped, her eyes glaring into Max's eyes, "Go away. I don't need you to like me. I will not let you and your playboy ways hurt me or my sister ever again."

-Zhi Hong's POV-

"I will not let you or your playboy ways hurt me or my sister any longer."

I passed by Jia Jia speaking inside her room.

*Eh...who's in her room?* I asked myself curiously. I pressed my ear to her door to try and eavesdrop on her.

"Hmm..maybe. But I'm sure you'll fall for me soon...just like you did four years ago."

That voice...it's Max!! What is he doing to Jia Jia?!!

"Zhi Hong, what are you doing?" Qian Xi asked from behind me. I jumped on shocked, then quickly recovered and pulled Qian Xi to me.

"Shh.. Max is inside with Jia Jia." I whispered into Qian Xi's ear. Qian Xi looked troubled for a second but I ignored the look on his face because I myself have a troubled feeling too!!

"Hmm...maybe this will make you fall in love with me...all. over. again."

That flirty voice..could it be..that he's going to kiss Jia Jia?!! Nooo!!

-Qian Xi's POV-

Is Max going to kiss Jia Jia? No. I will not let him disturb Jia Jia anymore.

I feel anger and jealousy burning up in me when I looked into Jia Jia's room through her doorhole. Max pushed Jia Jia onto the bed and was leaning closer and closer to her. Jia Jia wasn't doing anything, she just stared angrily back at Max.

My anger boiled and my jealousy rised. I stood up straight, my face calm but my heart troubled.

I pushed into Jia Jia's room and since Zhi Hong was pressing his ear to Jia Jia's door, he toppled over.
