Ultima Book III

Ellie's loss

                              Ellie's Pov:

                I woke up to my pups chasing a giant catfish around in the pool while taking little nips here and there. They managed to kill it by ramming it into the pool wall then they started taking chunks out of the fish. I swam into the open and scanned my environment for something I could eat and I found a large channel cat so I swam to it and ate it. I then got out of the pool and saw that Bella was staring wide-eyed at the cracked open closet door. I saw two glowing red eyes staring back at us and I instantly became aggressive. "Get out of that f*cking closet," I demanded, "Or I will rip you to shreds!" "Come, now, Ellie," The thing hissed at me, "How are you going to hurt me? I am the superior hybrid." The figure stepped out of the closet and what I saw made my blood run cold. It was the same indoraptor hybrid from the last fight. "Ingen told me to come here after my clone was killed," He hissed with his forked tongue flicking out, "But this time, I am not here to fight." "You have the wrong house, a**hole," I growled while hiding my fear, "Bella, get behind me." Before Bella could get up from her bed, the hybrid shot a quill at her. The quill hit Bella in her chest and she instantly slumped over with her eyes closed. I instantly ran over to her and tried to get her to respond but she was out. "What the f*ck did you do to her!?!" I screamed with visible bolts of electricity coming off my body. "She was tranquilized," The hybrid said with a smirk, "I have been engineered with a special toxin lacing my quills that puts organisms to sleep. It won't kill her if that is what you are wondering, but when she wakes up, she will be in a world of pain." "The f*ck do you want from me?" I asked after taking the quill out of Bella's chest, "I won't f*cking help you with your damn Operation Alpha Killer, you sick f*ck!" "Ellie," The hybrid said, "I know that you are a hybrid that was cooked up in a lab just like me. I know that you have experienced pain, and I know what hurts you." "You don't know sh*t," I hissed while my gills flared, "You better get the f*ck out of my room and go back to the hole you came from!" "Careful, Ellie," The hybrid said with a toothy grin, "I wonder what Blackwatch will do to Owen if you don't comply." "Are you f*cking stupid?" I mocked, "Owen is dead! I saw him die and I buried his body!" "That is what you think," The hybrid grinned while pulling out a phone. There was a video on it and the hybrid hit play. "Where the f*ck is Ellie?!" Owen demanded, "Where are you f*ckers hiding her!?" "We need you to find her," One of the Blackwatch agents said out of frame, "Or when we find her, we will kill her on sight." "Hey," Owen said, "Come closer and I will tell you." The agent came closer and Owen headbutted him in the face. "Cut the cams!" The agent said. And that was were the feed was cut. "You kill me," The hybrid said after putting the phone away, "You will never find him." "F*ck you!" I screamed again, "That isn't the real Owen, and they f*cking know it!!" "You are smart for your species, Ellie," The hybrid hissed while clawing the drywall, "Normally bulls are hotheaded and dumb." "I will give you ten seconds to leave or I will rip your throat out!" I hissed through my serrated teeth. "I thought that you would be understanding, Ellie," The abomination said disappointed, "You could have joined me willingly, but now I have to take you by force." He charged at me but I knocked him into the pool and dove in after him. I bit down on his leg then dragged him deeper into the water. He tried to claw at my eyes and face to stop me from dragging him but I just clamped down harder. My pups were keeping their distance as this abomination tried everything in its power to get me off of him. He then dug one of his deadly sickle claws into my gills and I instantly let go. I put my hand to my gills which were now bleeding heavily. The abomination bolted towards the surface to get a gulp of air then it swam down when it saw my pups. He bolted towards them then started slaughtering them, one by one. I could only watch in horror as he disemboweled my firstborn, biting the second's head off, and gutting the rest. He surfaced and climbed out of the pool with my last pup in his claws as I followed him with fire in my blood. "Let her go!" I demanded while watching my last pup writhe in his claw trying to escape. "It would have been easier to join me," He said with a sinister grin, "But now you had your choice." He crushed my last pup in his bloody claws after he shot a quill into me. "You did this," he said after dropping my mangled pup in front of my face. Everything faded to black...

                 I woke up in the infirmary with a gauze patch over my damaged gills. Claire looked at me with sympathetic eyes and then I remembered my dead pups. "He killed them!" I yelled with tears forming in my eyes. "Ellie," Claire said getting up from her bed, "Please, calm down." "Don't ever tell me to calm down!" I screamed jumping out of the bed, "My only pups are now dead! You don't even know what that feels like, Claire." "You're right," Claire replied, "I don't know what it feels like, but I know that those a**holes are going to pay." I stormed out of the infirmary with Masky trying to stop me but as soon as he touched me, he received a full power shock from my skin and he dropped down on the floor. I was stopped by Toby but I pushed past him. He grabbed my wrist while I was walking away. "Ellie," Toby said, "You can't leave yet. We still need you here just in case someone launches an attack. When Slendy comes back, then you can go after the f*ckers." I wanted to go after the ones that killed my pups, but I knew that Toby was right. If I leave now, we would be less protected from attacks now that Slendy's shield is with him. I felt blood trickle from the patch on my gills and then I felt lightheaded. I then lost my balance and Toby caught me and carried me back to the infirmary bed. It was getting hard to see then my body just shut down and I woke up in my mindscape. "Hello, Ellie," Dark said with a hint of a growl, "Those f*ckers will pay."
