                                      Claire's POV:

I snapped awake as three armed guards came into the room to unchain me from the ground. They put me in a wheel chair and locked me to it as they rolled me out into the halls. They then took me to some kind of mess hall where my friends were waiting for me out of their restraints. I locked eyes with Toby but his eyes were blank from expression. The guard that rolled me into the room took my muzzle off then the rest of my restraints. I shot out of the chair, which made all three guards jump back, and ran over to Haylie. I hugged her tightly with tears rolling down my face. "We won't get out of here," Jeff said distantly, "I have been to many of these places but this one is different. This is a fortress." "We can get out," Zero said, "I heard Claire escaped her room last night. Ellie can burn though steel doors and could probably brute force through them as well." "You don't f*cking get it!" Jeff yelled getting into Zero's face, "We can't f*cking get out of here! Even with our weapons, we can't fight all of them!" "Jeff," Masky said, "Calm down, we can't afford to be at each other's throats right now. Zero may be on to something but we can't do that now." This was the first time that I have seen Masky without his mask. He was actually quite handsome and he didn't have a lot of scars like the other Proxies did. I felt a tingle in my tail tip and it spread throughout my entire body but I couldn't figure out what it was. "Where did Claire go?" Haylie asked worried. "I'm right here," I said touching her shoulder but I looked at my hand but all I could see was a faint outline of my arm. I could see right through me! I shook myself and my body reappeared right before everyone. "I can cloak myself now?" I said quietly. A large man walked in while pushing a cart that smelled like it had food in it. I appeared right before he noticed and tried to act natural. He put the food on the table as the armed guards stood next to him with their weapons pointed at us. Ellie growled and stepped forward only to get shot in her head. "NO!" Owen yelled as claws started to form on his fingers. "Owen!" I said standing in front of him, "Look. That bullet did nothing to her!" "It f*cking hurt!" Ellie hissed with blue and orange sparks coming off her skin. I stopped her from attacking the guards for now but I know that she will do it anyway. We all sat down to eat as the guards watched to make sure we don't kill anyone else. "Connor," I said to myself, "I hope that you are okay where you are."

                                                    Connor's POV:

I knew where I was being sent, but I didn't want to go back to that place. As I was forced into a cell to be restrained, a voice said something behind me. "Connor, Connor, Connor," Kamski said, "You know if you would have just accomplished your mission, none of this would have happened." "You programed me to kill innocent people!" I said with anger, "You programmed me to kill a child! What do you want from these hybrids?! They are not as dangerous as you say, Kamski! Why do you want them dead?" "Simple," He replied, "I can't have them leave here since they are weapons of mass destruction. The girl you were protecting can camouflage, shoot sharp spines from her tail and back, turn humans into werewolves, and can impale people with the spine in her tail. The shark girl and her daughter can both emit a strong bioelectric fields, shrug off medium powered rounds and still fight, and they both have the strongest bite forces of any known animal. If these creatures get into the wrong hands, terrorists can use their DNA to make hybrids of their own and they could use those hybrids to attack the US." "You should deactivate that android, Kamski," Ryan said after walking into the room with two armed guards behind him. "Yes I should," Kamski replied, "But I want answers." I scanned both of the guards as they walked in and found that one of them were one of them was none other than Alex Mercer himself. How Ryan didn't see past his disguise is something that I am still confused about. "How did you become compromised, Connor?" Kamski asked me, "I coded you to not have emotional attachments so you could be more effective." "I didn't want to kill a child," I replied, "When I broke my code, I realized that I was just your puppet and I knew that another Connor would take my place. I swore to protect the Lycan family and nothing will stop me." I looked at Alex after I said that and I knew he recognized me and realized what happened. "You know," Kamski said pulling out a hand gun, "you may have human emotions, Connor, but you will never be human." Right after he said that, Mercer morphed his arm into a blade and severed Kamski's hand then sliced the other guard in half before he could call back-up. Mercer then took Ryans head off with his blood-soaked which caused blue blood to spray everywhere. He then flicked the blood off his assimilated blade then it morphed back into his normal arm as his body morphed back into Alex. "You are lucky I was here right now," Mercer said ripping the metal restraints off of me. Kamski yelled in pain as we left the room. "Here," Mercer said after throwing me the AR-15 he had earlier, "We may need to fight our way out." "Got it," I replied...
