The picture above is the new addition to Elle's Tattau which shows that she is infected with the Mercer Virus. If you don't know, in the game Prototype 1-2, both Alex Mercer and James Heller have a symbol on their back signifying their part of the infection. Ellie has her symbol of the infection now and she will continue to add to that specific addition. But this is enough rambling and now it is time to get to the chapter.

Claire's POV:
I woke up with bandages wrapped around my arms and my back with Ellie still unconscious in the bed next to me with Bella sitting next to her holding Ellie's hand tightly. Ellie was hooked up to a heart rate monitor and she had an IV bag with a clear liquid in it. Most likely saline, I thought to myself. I had a saline bag myself but I ripped the IV tube out of my arm and slowly got up. I couldn't feel anything which led me to believe that I had painkillers in my system. Bella was out cold in the chair so I quietly got out of the bed then made my way to the infirmary door. As soon as I opened it, Owen bumped into me which made me fall to the ground. He helped me up and apologized while I told him that it was fine. Connor rounded the corner with a new saline bag on a tray but stopped to make eye contact with me then just walked past us to replace the IV bag for Ellie. She also had water pumps covering her gills that supplied her with ample oxygen. "How is she?" Owen asked Connor. "My scans indicate that her entire skeleton is being converted into biomass as we speak," Connor replied, "The virus that is within her won't kill her unless her body rejects it, but it will only help her. I have put her in a medically induced coma in order to help her recover faster." "But how is she?" Owen asked again. "Her bioelectricity is stable which is helping her heal," He replied with his LED turning yellow, "She will be just fine." Owen had a sigh of relief when Connor said this. I looked over at Ellie's Tattau because there appeared to be something glowing bright orange on it. I looked closer at it and it had a biohazard symbol forming above the glowing lightning bolt. The biohazard symbol had five small lines branching upward out of it. It was now pulsing soft orange light when it fully formed. "That is a good sign," Connor said when he took notice of this, "She will make it." The IV that was in Ellie's arm popped out so Connor put another one in. As soon as the needle made contact with Ellie's skin, Ellie's eyes shot open then in a flash, she had pinned Connor to the floor. "You were supposed to be sedated!" Masky Exclaimed after slender walking into the room when he heard what was going on.
Ellie's POV:
"What happened!?" I said weakly. I felt like I couldn't stand but then I realized that I was on top of Claire's android. I stumbled off of him when I sensed Masky grabbing a syringe that was filled with a clear liquid off the tray on a table. "Get away from me with that," I said building up bioelectricity to produce a blast just in case he came closer to me. "This is only going to help you, Ellie," Masky said inching closer, "Your body needs time to rest, this will help with that." I fell to my hands and knees after I lost my balance which caused Masky to run to me to inject me with that syringe. "NO!" I screamed as I released the blast that I was holding inside of me. I stood up and stumbled towards the exit then realized that I had the syringe in my shoulder and the plunger was all the way down. "Sh*t," I said weakly pulling the needle out of my shoulder and throwing it to the ground. I struggled to get to my feet but I instantly fell back down as the drug was already kicking in. My eyelids felt heavy and I couldn't stop myself from closing...
