                     Claire's POV:

When we made it to the core, I gave Connor the explosives and he planted them. Right when we did this, the RK-900 came into the room, pointing a gun at us. Connor pushed me out of the room and pressed a button that slammed the blast door closed. "Damnit, Connor!" I yelled banging on the blast door, "You can't do this!" "My mission was to protect you at any cost," He said through the speaker, "If this is what I have to do in order to protect you, I will do it. Now go, live your life, and don't mourn mine. It was an honor to meet you and your family, Claire." "NO!" I screamed pounding on the door again as Ryan came closer to Conor. "Time to end this, Connor," Ryan said, racking the slide of his gun to chamber a round. I felt Mercer pull me away from the door and carried me out of the complex.

                         Connor's POV:

I had set the timer to 10 minutes, which gave Claire enough time to escape. "Do you really think that this will stop our plans?" Ryan said moving closer to me, "I can be transferred into another model after this one gets destroyed." "You're forgetting one thing," I said circling around him, pulling my coin I use to fidget with, "This bomb will blow the entire complex up with you inside." He was about to pull the trigger to his gun, but I dodged and threw my coin at him to draw his attention to that, then grabbed the pistol. I released the mag from it and disarmed him, throwing the gun across the core room. He tried to throw a few punches, but I blocked every one of them while countering it with my own blows. Every time we would think of an attack, I would counter it and use the momentum of his attack to power mine. After three minutes of going back and forth, he stopped and looked at the gun, then the bomb. He had a choice to make, go for the gun, or go for the bomb, he chose to go for the bomb, so I quickly grabbed the pistol with one round in the chamber. I pointed it at the bomb and shot it, sending fire and concussive force our way but before I was destroyed, I replayed my memories of both Shannon and Claire as water flowed from my eyes. I was launched into a wall from the force of the blast as the entire building collapsed on us. I saw that many of my bio-components were badly damaged, but I knew my mission was complete. I couldn't see or hear what was going on around me but after a short while, my system shut down...

                                                               Three minutes earlier:

                            Claire's POV:

Mercer told me that we had to leave, and I reluctantly followed him, but I didn't want to leave Connor. We rushed outside right before we heard the explosion and saw the fire burst out of the windows. The building collapsed soon after this and I screamed Connor's name as it did so. "He's not gone," I said in denial, "He will come back, right?" "I don't think he will, Claire," Haylie said, kneeling beside me. I found Connor's coin that he used to do tricks with, and I picked it up to keep it. "I am so sorry, Connor," I said with tears flowing from my eyes. I heard Ellie's wails which snapped me back to reality and I rushed to her. Kat was in her arms with a large hole through her head which was now starting to close. Kat breathed deeply as she was revived by the virus that infected her mother and I but something was wrong. She started convulsing in her mother's arms as she rapidly mutated into a shark zombie beast. "I'm sorry, Kat," Ellie said, grabbing John's gun, "I will always love you." With shaky hands, she pulled the trigger, putting Kat out of her misery. Ellie broke down into tears as Slendy bent down and put a hand on her shoulder. "There was nothing I could have done to save her, Ellie," Slendy said sympathetically, "I am not at my full strength." "They will pay for what they have done," Ellie/Dark said with rage. "I want them to pay as much as you do, Ellie," Owen said, stroking her cheek to try to calm her down, "But if we go after them, they will have another reason on why they should find us." Ellie grabbed Owen's hand and cracked it, causing Owen to fall to the ground. The snow around Ellie started to melt around her as I saw a new addition to Ellie's Tatau start to form. It looked like a portal with a lightning bolt in the middle. There was a bright flash of blue electrical light, and she was gone. The only thing left where she was standing was scorched earth and melted snow. "Where the hell did she go?!" Jeff exclaimed. "Back to the mansion," Slendy said, waving his hand to one side, transporting us back to the mansion.
