T/W - I'm not sure if I need this, but there's some light mental health issues mentioned? Basically just sapnap not wanting to shoaer/get out of bed
Sapnaps POV
“Fuck,” I let out a groan as light flooded my vision. It had to be sometime mid morning from where the sun was in the sky.
Last night's events came rushing to my mind, and I brought my hand up to gently prod at the still sensitive skin. I sat up only to bring my knees to my chest. I needed to find a way to make it up to Dream and George, the way I acted towards them was unnecessary and I should've just let them in.
The things I had said to George probably had just made things worse. I knew that what I said to him was wrong, he was only trying to care for me. I just needed him to see where I have been and understand things weren’t as simple as he wanted them to be.
When I stepped out of bed I realised I was still wearing the outfit I'd hastily thrown on before leaving. I'd have to ask Dream to borrow something. I could figure out a plan later to get my stuff from my parents house. Or maybe I should just go out to get a whole new wardrobe.
Stepping out of bed was harder than it should've been, I didn't want to face my friends. Eventually I made my way to the door, turning the knob slowly before exiting. Voices sounded from down the hall, signalling there were others awake. I found my way to Dreams room, knocking on the door before the voices quieted.
“Come in!” Dream said, the sound muffled through the closed door.
I just poked my head inside, doing my best not to Look at George, “Hey, sorry to bother you guys, but I didn’t bring much last night. Any chance I can borrow some clothes?”
“Uh, Yeah sure.” Dream moves from where he sat on the bed to the dresser, “My clothes are probably gonna be big, you good with that?”
“Yeah, I just need something to get through the day. I’ll need to get my things later today or tomorrow before school on Monday.”
He hands me a pair of sweatpants and a shirt’ “Right, need me to come with you? Or one of my parents can if you want.”
“I don’t know, maybe it would be nice to have someone with.” I just smiled at Dream before leaving. I really didn’t want help, not knowing what my father would do. But maybe it would be easier with someone else along, he’d probably be more civil.
I decided on taking a shower, knowing I’d probably need one, even if i didn’t feel up for it. The bathroom was easy to find, this having been a second home for me my whole life. I took a look at myself in the mirror and realised I looked just as tired and upset as I was.
The shower was short, but reenergizing. It wasn’t much but it helped me feel a little better about the day. The kitchen was a short walk down the stairs, and as I headed in I immediately recognized the two people in there.
Dream's mother and sister sat at the small island eating breakfast together.
“Hey,” it came out quite, not knowing how they’d react.
“Sapnap!” Dristas face broke into a big smile when she saw me, leaving the table to give me a hug, “Why are you here? When did you get here, I didn’t see you come in!”
“Well-”
“He got here last night sweetheart.” Mrs. Wastaken gave me a soft smile, “Dreams already talked to me. I don’t know what happened, but we’re happy to have you here.”
