Dream’s POV

It was nice having both of my best friends back, even if living with Sapnap was hard at times. Whenever he was bored he tried bugging me and always wanted to hang out, especially when George was busy. I loved him but I needed time alone too.

I was always dragged into their crap when both of them hung out too. I never understood why, if they were trying to get better for each other, wouldn’t they want time alone? I never disagreed though, hanging out with them made me happy, it felt right to be with the two of them.

The end of March rolled around and even though Football was mostly over we still practiced. It was hard work but I enjoyed seeing Sapnap being able to engage again and smile.

One day after practice I watched George run down to the field dragging a sign with him. Sapnap was still distracted when he held it up. Sapnap, will you be my boyfriend and go to Prom with me? In typical George fashion it was written in very neat letters and decorated well.

After the team started cheering Nick looked back, smiling wide as he read the sign himself. I knew I should be happy for them but something in me felt hurt as I watched my friends embrace. Trying to shake it off I made my way to the locker room to change and wait for my friends.

Sapnap walks in after 10 minutes, a huge smile on his face. He immediately catches my eye and runs over to envelop me into a hug, “Dream!”

I faked a smile, still unsure why it hurt.

“So I take it, you said yes?”

“Of course I did! I was gonna ask him tomorrow, he just beat me to it. We’d been discussing it anyway.”

I pulled away from him, “Well I’m happy you guys have worked everything out. But please get changed. You stink.”

“Hey!” He pouts. “George said the same thing.”

I let out a soft chuckle, “Well he’s right.”

Sapnap makes his way off to the showers and I turn to leave the room. In turn seeing George waiting outside. I give him a small smile before turning to wait at the car. I was happy for my friends, truly. So why did it hurt to know they had each other?”
