I slept on the couch, after much insisting, and he slept in his room. That night, for the first time in a long time, I didn't have any nightmares. I actually had a dream about Danny. In the dream, I was married to him and we lived on his farm. When I woke up, it was two in the morning. I layed there thinking to myself. Since that day of the accident I've had nightmares every night. Then I meet Danny, and instead of a nightmare I have a dream about him. I guess this is a way of fate telling me something.

I eventually went back to sleep and woke up at 8 a.m. by a rooster outside. I thought, "I could live like this. Away from everything and everyone."

I heard Danny come out of his room. He was once again wearing dark jeans, a cowboy hat, boots, and, instead, a white t-shirt.

"Good morning." He said to me smiling.

" Good Morning. I can tell you are a morning person."

"And you're not?" He asked laughing.

" Not always." I laughed.

" Coffee?" He asked.

"Can't live without it." I laughed. " Thanks."

Danny made eggs, sausage, and pancakes for breakfast.

"Thanks. You really didn't have to do all this." I told him.

" Its the least I could do. Its been nice hanging out with you. I'm always alone out here." He said laughing.

" You never have visitors?" I asked him.

" My sister comes up sometimes. She's 18, so she has a lot going on with college." He answered.

" Does she like it up here?" I asked.

" Yeah. She comes up here to get away from our parents. Sometimes they can be overwhelming." He replied.

"What's she going to school for?"

"Pediatrics. She's really good with kids. She'll do great." He said.

There was something about him. I couldn't quite pinpoint it. Like he'd been through something terrible, but I could tell he kept his guard up around people. For some reason a part of me wanted to know why.
