( Madison's point of view)

I cannot wait to marry Denny. Many people have judged our relationship very harshly. I think people find it weird that we thought we were brother and sister. Then we are in a relationship. Denny constantly tells me not to listen to what people say, but it's so hard not to.

One thing I've learned is that people will come and go, but the ones who stay are meant to. Denny has been by my side through everything, I am so glad that I have found him. He makes me a better person.

We are on our way back to the motor home to pack up our stuff. I have my head on Denny's shoulder. We are riding on his golf cart. Mary Lou is driving and Denny's Dad is holding the girls, riding in the front. I've been staring at my ring the whole ride.

"Do you like it?" Denny asked.

"I love it. It's beautiful." I replied, smiling at him.

"So, I've been thinking..." Denny stated.

"Oh no." I said, laughing.

"Haha. No, really.... Do you want to reach out to your parents?" Denny asked, in a serious tone.

"I'm not sure. I think that if they wanted to see me, they would try to, but they haven't." I said.

"Maybe they can't." Denny said.

"I don't know. Maybe." I said, un-assuredly.

Next week's race is at Darlington. It's throwback theme, so Denny and I have costumes planned. It's going to be so awesome.

Tuesday:

We are finally home. Denny is playing basketball with his friends. I am sitting on the porch watching the girls play in their playhouse. The game is getting really good. These guys take it so seriously. Denny's team is losing by two points. With ten seconds to go, Denny ties it up with a lay-up. I stand up and clap. Then I see Denny limping over to me.

I ran towards him and he put his arm around my shoulders. I helped him to the porch, where he sat down.

"Are you alright?" I asked him.

"No." He said, in obvious pain.
