"shotooo, come on we're gonna miss our bus" you whined, calling out for the taller male catching up to you panting.
"sorry, y/n. the bus should be here in a bit." he smiled sweetly as he slows down finally caught up with you. he wipes little sweat build ups on his forehead under his bangs, panting slightly.
you looked at him and grinned as you move his bangs out of his face and plant a kiss on his forehead, earning a hum from him. "the picnic's going to be great, i can feel it!" you said enthusiastically after pulling away from him.
he nodded in agreement, smiling sweetly.
the bus arrived and we hopped on. the ride to the park was brisk and you two settled your blankets, throw pillows and food you had prepared. shoto helped with reheating the food with a move of a finger and you continued settling things down.
once everything was ready you threw yourself back on the pillow resting your head on your hands, looking up at the bright sky, letting out a long sigh.
shoto smiled sweetly and scooted over to lay next to you, propping his head on his left hand, facing you. "i'm glad to have you by my side, y/n." you smile, rolling over so that you were nuzzling into his chest. "i'm happy to be here." you replied softly, humming into his chest, inhaling his sweet scent.
the boy always smelled of coconuts because of that one time you mentioned liking coconut scented products. you smile to yourself thinking about how sweet he really is yet he never really shows it to anyone but you.
"you've helped me through so much. you helped me sort things out with my dad. you helped me when nobody thought i needed saving." he continued, trailing his hands down your side lovingly, caressing you softly.
your hands wrapped around his body, much warmer than yours, placing kisses on his chest. "and there's nothing else i'd rather do." he kisses the top of your head as he holds you in his embrace.
the park was quiet with a few dogs roaming around. you two liked that park, it reminded you of comfort, safety, each other.
your sweet moment was cut off short by the sound of your tummy grumbling from hunger. "fuck" you two giggled in unison.
"food's getting cold anyway" he plants one last kiss on your head before sitting himself up and digging in.
