1. Season wrap

Tuesday, 20th of April 2021

It was the last day of shooting season 4 for the Station 19 cast. The last day was filled with laughter, joy, pranks and tears. The emotions of two actors were particularly high. There was no denying that these two actors had a special chemistry. Everyone knew that as it could be seen from miles away. Danielle and Stefania first met by coincidence two years ago when they passed each other in the hallway. They were both instantly captivated by each other's beauty and energy. When they shook hands, both felt an electric shock that they could not quite explain.

What both women did not know, is that Krista observed the interaction between the two women while she was together with Danielle. It just so happened to be that Krista was thinking of a new love interest for Maya in the upcoming third season but had yet to figure out who to pair the blonde with. The small electric interaction between the blond and brunette was enough for Krista to make the decision that they were to be romantically paired in the show. What Krista did not know, was that Danielle and Stefania would be forever grateful to her for pairing them up together.

Fast forward two years later, the bond between Danielle and Stefania was stronger than ever. It came as a surprise to everyone that the two women did not actually date in real life. Sure, Danielle and Stefania both flirted with each other and there were the occasional touches here and there but both women did not dare to take a step further. Afraid of ruining their strong friendship that they had built up over the past two years.

The last day of shooting was emotional for both Danielle and Stefania as Danielle knew Stefania would be leaving for Brazil and Italy for two months. It's been the longest they've been away from each other. Danielle was struggling with the idea of having to miss her best friend for so long. During last year's hiatus, both women had to quarantine because of the lockdown but would spend hours facetiming. They eventually would spend time together while walking along the beach with Jeff. It was difficult for both women to stay six feet apart. To be fair, they did not always stay six feet apart, but they didn't tell anyone about that. It was their little secret in their own little bubble. It seemed like time stopped when they were together.

Stefania had noticed that Danielle was acting a bit more distant with her, and the Italian could not wrap her finger around the reason behind it at first. In between takes though, the reason behind it became clear for Stefania once they were talking about her plans to go to Brazil in the next week.

"I'm so excited to leave for Brazil next week. I haven't been able to see my friends over there in two years because of the whole covid situation", Stefania said to the blonde.
"Okay", was the only reply Danielle could give. She couldn't help it. She wanted to be supportive and excited for her best friend, but she was going to miss her too much.
Stefania felt the blonde tense up, so she put her hand on the blonde's leg and said, "please don't do this". Danielle just looked at her best friend but did not respond. All she did was put her hand on Stefania's hand and gave it a reassuring squeeze.

Stefania knew her best friend all too well. She knows that Danielle has difficulty with speaking her mind when it comes to her feelings and struggles. To the world and to the fans she's so well and outspoken but that did not mean Danielle was good at talking about her feelings and struggles. Stefania decided not to push it for now since they still had a long day ahead of shooting their wedding scenes. Both women felt a mixture of tension between the both of them. The tension of something being unresolved and the electric tension caused between the hand holding on Danielle's leg. Just at the right moment Jason came up to them to film some behind the scenes footage for his Instagram page. Danielle saw this as the perfect opportunity to ease up the tension by surprising Stefania with a kiss. On camera you could not make out if it was a real kiss or if it was staged by the blonde but the brunette felt a sudden swarm of butterflies fill in her stomach. Stefania laughed at the blonde and into the camera.

Stefania wanted to talk about what just happened, but they were called back to set to shoot the scene where Maya and Carina would walk down towards the altar to be married by Ben. Once at the altar, Stefania could see that Danielle was getting emotional. Danielle was singing along with the song Barret was singing which made her eyes tear up. Stefania couldn't help but be captivated by the blonde in front of her. The softness of her hands, the look in Danielle's eyes which made Stefania feel so loved and safe. Stefania couldn't help but tear up herself. Danielle noticed this and squeezed her hand to make sure she knew Danielle was there. When Ben pronounced Maya and Carina wife and wife, the two women could not wait to seal it off with a kiss. It was a soft, tender, and loving kiss. It was a kiss that secretly, neither one of them wanted to end.

The director called the last "cut" of the season and the two women were soon to be wrapped up in a big group hug with the whole cast. Danielle felt herself being hugged by Jaina and Barret which meant that she had to let go of Stefania's hands. Stefania was sad at the loss of touch with the blonde and looked up at the blonde. Danielle smiled at Stefania which made her feel warm inside and reassured her that they were okay. After Stefania had hugged every one of the cast and crew she made her way back to Danielle.

"Hey Bella, you haven't given me my last hug of the season yet", Stefania said with a pout on her face. Danielle's face lit up and said, "you're cute, did you know that?", while she pulled Stefania in for a big hug. Both instantly relaxed into the hug. Stefania felt safe in the embrace of the shorter woman. It was almost as if their bodies fit perfectly together. Stefania started caressing the blonde's back which made the blonde instantly blush. Danielle couldn't help but love the way the taller woman made her feel. However, she knew that she had to shove those feelings down to protect both herself and Stefania. She realized how much she was going to miss Stefania in their embrace. She looked up at the brunette, still having her arms around her waist. Stefania looked down at the blonde and couldn't help but smile and said, "I'll miss you Danielle". Danielle's eyes welled up with tears which made the brunette pull the blond back into a tight hug. "Please don't cry, we'll talk all the time. I'll be back before you know it. How about we have a sleepover after the wrap party on Saturday?", Stefania said. "Just the two of us?", Danielle asked. "Just the two of us", Stefania said with a smile thinking of how Danielle reminded her of a little puppy before bringing her back into a hug.
