this chapter will basically mostly be talking about gorou and kazuha's past after Tomo died and how they got to where they are now.

Trigger warning.
Mentions of death, severe depression, starvation.

Kazuha stayed in bed for a little longer. He was on his phone. More like staring at the phone screen. Kazuha doesn't have much close friends. If he's going to be honest with himself, Gorou was probably his only close friend. Sure, he had other ones like Thoma and so and so on but, he isn't all buddy buddy with them. He can only start a conversation with Gorou is around, otherwise he wouldn't speak at all.

The thing is before Tomo died, Kazuha was surprisingly a sociable person. He had many friends back where he lived. They were all close and promised they'd never leave each other.

Unfortunately, Kazuha was the one to break that promise. Due to Tomo's death, Kazuha fell into a pit full of darkness and sorrow. He stopped going out, avoided everyone and didn't talk to any of his friends. He was more reserved and quiet. He was a calm person before but now, it was different.

About a month later after Tomo's death, Gorou heard the news and was obviously worried. Even though he knew how much he wanted to just barge into Kazuha's house and comfort him, it isn't the right time. So that's why he gave the white haired man his space. Letting him soak into negative thoughts for about a month.

After all that, Gorou thought it was an appropriate time to check on his friend. He brought a food basket, some of his clothes, new sheets and saved up a good amount of cash to give to him.

He took the transit bus over to the place he was staying. He took a deep breath and knocked on the door. No response. He repeated the same a a action again and again until he decided to twist the doorknob. To his surprise, the door was unlocked. He walked in quietly, shutting the door behind him with little force.

It wasn't the first time he came over to Kazuha's so he knew his way around like it was a clear image of the blueprint in his mind. It was so silent. Gorou started to panic. Was Kazuha okay? Did he hurt himself? Did he do something to himself? These thoughts swarmed through Gorou's mind. He walked upstairs, making the least noise possible.

He stood in front of Kazuha's door, inhaling and exhaling repeatedly to calm himself down. Once he was ready, he slowly opened to door. Unexpected to see the sight before him.

Kazuha was on his bed, he wasn't moving but he was breathing so he was most likely asleep. Which was good, this gave Gorou more time to mentally and emotionally prepare himself. But Kazuha's room was a total disaster. It was like a tornado turned his room upside down. There were tissues everywhere, unfinished food, bugs, broken glasses and plates, it was a horrible sight to see.

Gorou placed his stuff in front of the door and grabbed some gloves and a mask he brought with him just in case.

'Let's get to work!' He encouraged himself and started cleaning his friend's room.

He grabbed a trash bag and started picking up all the used tissues and broken glass. It smelled terrible in here. The scent was unbearable but he was going to overcome it because this was for Kazuha. His best friend. This was the least he could do was give him a helping hand and letting him know he's always available if something ever comes up.

Gorou finished picking up everything on the floor. He put the three trash bags outside of the door frame and grabbed a broom to start sweeping. Once he was satisfied, he took the mop and moped the floors. They were squeaky clean! You could almost even see your reflection.
