Epilogue

After 3 months in and out of rehabilitation therapy, Kazuha and Gorou were finally out of the hospital. Alive, healthy and happy.

Throughout those 3 months, they've started to see a therapist that the doctors suggested. They go there every week, talking about what they can make out of the whole situation and how they can focus on themselves.

The two men also went into questioning with the police. Everything went well, Scaramouche was proven guilty and was sentenced for kidnapping, third degree murder, assault and lots more.

Kazuha and Gorou started to go to school regularly again. But unfortunately, due to all the classes they've missed, summer school was suggested or else they'd have to completely restart their year. Although, they're just happy to be back with the people they love.

Thoma and his friends have also gotten better. They're a lot less stressed and have been feeling better knowing that their friends are doing a lot better.

Beidou and Ningguang meant what they said, they moved back to their hometown just so they could be around Kazuha and make up for all the time they've missed.

Things were going great, and both Kazuha and Gorou hoped they would never have to experience something so traumatic ever again.

One spring day in May, Kazuha and Gorou decided to go treat themselves for sticking together regardless of everything that's been happening.

They went to a nearby sushi shop, where they happily enjoyed the food. Gorou was rambling about random stuff as Kazuha listened. The usual.

After cleaning up, they went back to their apartment. When they finished university, they decided they were gonna move out and find someplace better and a lot farther from the city.

They were in the elevator when Gorou noticed something unsual.

"Hey Kazuha have you heard from the others?" Asked Gorou.

"No I haven't. Why'd you ask?" He replied.

"It's nothing, I just think it's funny how no one texted in the group chat since Monday, and today were Saturday." Said Gorou.

"Maybe they're busy?"

"None of them work except Miya and Ayato. Miya doesn't babysit everyday either... Plus it's not like Ayato is always in his office, he goes to school and takes days off like we do." Explained Gorou.

"Hmm. I see, but are you sure you aren't overthinking all of this love?" Questioned Kazuha.

"Perhaps I am." Gorou sighed.

The elevator doors opened. Kazuha was searching for the keys in his pockets, preparing to open the door when they get there.

Kazuha inserted the key into the lock. He twisted it and paused before opening the door.

"What's wrong?" Asked Gorou worriedly.

"Nothing, I just spaced out. Sorry." He said and opened the door.

"SURPRISE!!!"

Confetti and Balloons were all blown into Kazuha and Gorou's face, blocking their eyesight.

They both jumped at the loud noise that was made and tried wiping all the confetti off their face.

When they both opened their eyes, there everyone was.

Thoma, Yoimiya, Ayaka, Ayato, Kokomi, Sara, their teachers, classmates and other friends...
