After all that, Kazuha took Gorou to a hotel nearby. Instead of burning gas to go all the way back home. It was a way of saving money, even though they had more than what an average person would own.

Gorou was sitting on the hotel bed, while Kazuha was washing up in the shower.

This was his opportunity to sit down and think about everything that just happened in these past hours.

Kazuha took him on a date to the amusement park, then took him to a bridge to see the city from a far point of view and to top it off, they kissed. Now what?

What where they now? Still best friends? Dating? Or—-

Gorou hadn't even noticed Kazuha had finished his duties in the bathroom. He was too deep in thought to realize Kazuha was sitting right next to him.

"Gorou are you okay? You've been staring at the floor for a good minute now. Is something on your mind?" Kazuha gently asked in a tone full of concern. He placed his hand on the others thigh, as an act of reassurance. Gorou didn't seem to mind so he didn't brother moving it.

"I can't say you're wrong... It's n-nothing huge! I was just... y'know... C-curious about our relationship status. T-That's all." He quietly mumbled the last part.

"Well, we're still friends aren't we?" Said Kazuha.

"Still?—- Ah. Y-yeah!" Kazuha watched as Gorou's expression quickly changed into a look of despair.

"I'm obviously kidding Gorou. You're my boyfriend now. Unless we're taking things too-"

"NO! Everything's fine Kazuha. I'd love to be your boyfriend, more than happy to." Gorou smiled and leaned in to give Kazuha a peck on the lips.

"I'm glad. Now, how about we get some sleep?" Kazuha questioned.

Gorou nodded his head in agreement.

They got comfortable in bed, the cold and thick sheets covering their entire body, only leaving their heads left.

"I love you Gorou. Sleep well love." Kazuha sheepishly said. Right after he moved closer to Gorou and gave him a soft kiss on his pink lips and drifted off to sleep.

"I... love, you... too."

Kazuha was up bright and early. He was woken up by the sounds of birds chirping outside the window, not to mention the sun was bright out. It was surprising, taking in the fact that it was the last week of October.

Kazuha looked to his side and saw well, saw his new lover. Gorou was sleeping peacefully, his lips slightly parted and small breaths were heard.

Kazuha got knocked out of his trance when his phone rang. He had Beidou in mind, since he acted in a very impolite way yesterday. He figured that she was calling to make sure he was okay.

He looked at his phone screen, but it wasn't Beidou?

It was an unknown caller.

The phone number was unfamiliar to the white haired man. Never in his past 19 years of living has he seen such a number. He picked up the phone and was met with silence.

"Hello?" He said. No response.

"Hello? Is anyone there?" No response.

"Hello?" No response again.

Eventually the person on the other line hanged up. Kazuha thought maybe someone was pulling a prank on him. But who exactly? No one he knew would do such a thing. Maybe it was one of those kids who do those type of prank calls on random numbers? The possibilities were infinite.

Kazuha brushed it off and put his phone back onto the nightstand. He felt the bed move a bit and Gorou was waking up.

Gorou sat up. He was squinting his eyes, trying to adjust to the room brightness.

"Good morning beautiful. How did you sleep?" Kazuha asked.

"Hm? Oh, I slept well... Wish I could sleep more though." He responded. Gorou's voice was a bit deeper than usual, he was speaking in a croaky tone. This only being one of the side effects of waking up in the morning.

"What about you? How did you sleep?"

"Me? I slept well. No dreams or anything. Just-"

"Are you okay?" Gorou asked, his face suddenly changed into a look full of worry.

"Y-Yeah. Why wouldn't I-"

"Your birthday is in less than a week. After that we'll be entering November and..." Gorou left off.

"I'm aware. One year after his death." Kazuha said. His voice slightly cracked. Even though it's almost been a year, the trauma hasn't left. He was happy he had Gorou, more than happy actually. But that will never change the fact that he missed Tomo more than anything in this world. And he would do anything to bring him back.

They sat there in silence for a bit, until Gorou took the next step.

"Are you... Gonna go visit his, grave? I-I can take you if you want or!- Maybe I shouldn't go. Yeah, you'll go alone." Gorou concluded.

"Why? Why won't you go with me?" Kazuha honestly felt like he was going to start crying. Tears were blurring his vision. How come he was still so sensitive when this topic was brought up? He didn't like it. Not one bit.

"Kazuha please listen to me." Gorou began. "It's best you go alone. This is the time for you and him to connect spiritually. I don't wanna be there to ruin the moment. You will go alone okay? And when you come back, I'll be waiting for you."

Kazuha looked Gorou into the eyes and could no longer hold back his tears. He fell into his arms and start bawling uncontrollably. It felt like he was stuck in time. Nothing was moving forward, nothing was moving backwards. When will he be free? He doesn't know.

Gorou was rubbing circles on his back and playing with the ends of his hair. Seeing Kazuha in this state broke him in to millions of pieces. He wanted to cry too, but he had to stay strong. Him crying too would make everything even worse.

Kazuha was grabbing onto his shirt. He started so slightly shake. Kazuha was mumbling incomprehensible things. This all feels like one huge nightmare that will never end. Why did this have to happen to him?

Gorou cupped his face and wiped his tears away. Kazuha's eyes were puffy and red. Tears were still running down his face until Gorou pulled him in for a kiss full of reassurance and comfort. Kazuha relaxed and melted into the kiss, placing his hands on wrists pulling himself forward.

All Kazuha searched for was for comfort, and Gorou's arms are where the treasure was found.

Both of them pulled back, panting due to the length of their kiss.

"Please Gorou... Please don't go. You're the only one I have left in this world. I-I could never imagine myself in a world without you... So please, I beg, I'll do anything just please don't go!" Kazuha was desperate. His life was slowly crumbling apart and the only reason he was still here was for Gorou and his parents. If it weren't for them, he would've been long gone.

"I'll always be with you Kazuha... When have I ever left your side? I'm always here for you and will always be there for you. You can tell me anything and everything. I love you so much, always remember that."

Kazuha nodded his head and kissed him again. He was happy that he could kiss Gorou freely and whenever he wished to without it being awkward anymore.

They broke the kiss and sat their in a comfortable silence. Just the other being there was all they could ask for.

"How about we go shower than go for breakfast?" Gorou suggested.

"I'd love that." Kazuha wiped the remaining tears and smiled.
