Chapter 22

TW: SUICIDAL THOUGHTS, STARVATION.

Kazuha woke up in a hospital bed. His head was pounding. He looked over to his side and saw Thoma asleep on the very small couch. Thoma was extremely tall, and that position did not look comfortable.

Kazuha doesn't know the date or the time. After he passed out, he doesn't remember anything that happened after that.

Thoma heard shifting and slowly woke up.

"Oh Kazuha! Thank God you're awake!" The blond exclaimed and rushed to Kazuha's side.

"What the hell happened?" Asked Kazuha.

"It seems like you've passed out. When the police and I made it to your house, you were passed out on the ground with a head injury." Thoma explained. "You've been out for three days! Oh my Gosh I was so worried for you."

"Thoma, what's the date?"

"November 10th."

"Oh." Was all Kazuha felt like he could say at the moment.

"What? Is something wrong?" Thoma asked worriedly.

Kazuha then started to get out of bed but he fell on the ground.

"Kazuha! You can't do too much movement! Please lay down." Pleaded Thoma.

"Thoma. I can't just sit here knowing my boyfriend has been kidnapped by the ones who killed my ex boyfriend. I have to do something. I understand if you'd rather stay put, but I'm not gonna lose the person I love the most for a second time." Kazuha said with a firm and steady tone. He didn't look back and left immediately ignoring Thoma's pleads.

Before Kazuha could go out he was stopped by two policemen who declared they had some questions to ask.

Kazuha was taken to the police station and was put in a room to speak with a detective and the two officers that stopped him earlier.

"Hello sir. How are you doing today?" The detective asked.

"What kind of question is that?" Kazuha spat out.

"Sir I'm gonna need you to answer all the questions that I am going to ask you truthfully. If you lie, we are allowed to take this as evidence and put you in custody until we find the real culprit." Explained the detective. "Your age and birth date please?"

"20, and October 29th." Answered Kazuha.

"Okay. When did you last see Gorou?"

"At 3:47pm. Right after I left school."

"Has anything similar happened like this before?"

Kazuha pauses before answering.

"Yeah..."

And the questions went on and on after that.

Kazuha was sent home but he would have to go back to the police station in a few days. They were currently questioning Thoma, since he was the last one to be with Gorou.

Kazuha just laid on his bed and started sobbing.

Who was he to think he could find Gorou? Not even the police can find them. Why did Kazuha think he could?

This was so stupid. Gorou had never done anything wrong to anyone. Why would they take such an innocent man away?

Kazuha felt like his world was crumbling apart. Was he this unwanted in this world? Why has it gotten to the point where he'd have to relive everything he went through?
