Chapter 18

Gorou woke up to the sound of his alarm clock.

"God damn..." He whispered.

He sat down in bed for a moment, giving him some time to fall back down to earth.

A knock on his door was heard.

"Come in." Gorou said.

Kazuha opened the door and rushed over to Gorou's side of the bed.

"Good morning, beautiful." Kazuha smiled.

"Why are you up so early?" Gorou asked. He was usually the one to wake Kazuha up. Though it seems like things are going differently today.

"Maybe it's cause... We have school?" Replied Kazuha.

"WE HAVE SCHOOL?" Gorou yelled. Kazuha was caught off guard, so by reflex he covered his ears rapidly.

"Yes Gorou. It's Friday. What did you expect?" Kazuha sighed, showing slight annoyance.

"I've said this before and I'll say it again! Friday should be considered a weekend." Gorou huffed.

"I would say we could always stay home, but we have important exams today. Also, too many absents wouldn't benifi-"

"Kazuha it's 6:30 in the morning and your already giving me a life lesson."

"Oh. Oops, my bad. I can get a little carried away sometimes." He chuckled. "Anyways, come on. Let's get ready. We only have to survive a couple hours until tonight."

Gorou couldn't help but get excited thinking about the date tonight. Was it going to be similar to last time? He had no clue. Kazuha refused to tell him anything about what he had planned.

"Y-yeah. You're right. Let's go!" Gorou cheered.

"That's the spirit."

"Gorou." A voice called.

"Gorou." The voice repeated.

"GOROU."

Gorou woke up. Where was he? Mr. Zhongli's class. He looked to his side and saw a not so very happy looking Albedo.

Albedo could clearly see his classmate was still lost in the clouds, so he decided it was time to give him a reality check.

"Finally. Gorou you fell asleep during class. You're lucky the teacher didn't see you." Albedo explained.

"Ah—- My bad. Could you like, you know... Let me borrow-"

"Here, take my notes. I'll explain everything to you later." Albedo slid his notes over to Gorou, slightly smiling while he was at it.

"Thank you, Albedo!"

"It's about time you get my name right."

"Boys." Mr. Zhongli called. "I would prefer if you boys were being more attentive in my class. I do not ask for much, just for all eyes to be on me. Thank you."

"Sorry..." Gorou sighed.

"My apologies." Albedo said.

"What did I do now?" Kazuha said out of irritation.
