Dabi leaned against the car as he waited for Y/N to change in the back seat. She used anything she could find to cover the windows, including her hospital gown. Y/N couldn't find anything else to block the window facing the sidewalk. So, Dabi blocked the view of prying eyes with his body. There was a light tapping from underneath him. Dabi moved to the side and opened the car door.

Y/N stepped out of the car and closed the door behind her. She looked like an American tourist suffering from jet lag. From the bags under her eyes and disheveled hair to the oversized hoodie and short shorts. She had definitely seen better days... and better clothes.

"Looking great, princess." Dabi gave her a wink, in payment for her smart-ass remarks from earlier.

"You and I both know I look like I'm having a quarter-life crisis." She chided.

"Looking or going through?" The cocky smile only grew wider on his face.

Y/N gave him a soft punch to his shoulder as she rolled her eyes. His only reply was a smug smile before he broke into laughter. His playfulness brought a soft curl to her lips. It wasn't like him to smile but damn it felt good when he did. She cleared her throat but she spoke with a serious tone

"Where we are going?" Y/N asked.

"Some place where we can top off your makeover with some hair color. We can't afford to be recognized here." He explained bluntly.

Y/N's eyes darted to her surroundings. It seemed no one recognized her even though her face was on the National list. But that didn't mean that the police weren't looking for her in Tokyo. And she certainly wasn't sticking around to find out.

"Well, lead the way." She said.

Dabi pushed off from the car door and started walking deeper into the busy city, Y/N caught up to him and walked closely by his side.

Y/N took in the sights as Dabi looked for a public restroom. As expected for the capital of Japan it was crowded with loads of pedestrians. Even with large sidewalks and streets to accommodate the millions of people living in the city, she still felt cramped. But that didn't take away the joy of her newfound paradise. Yet a lot of it felt familiar.

She felt a grip on her and stopped abruptly. She looked up to find Dabi's face hardened with a stern look.

"Try not to draw attention," He warned her. "We're already famous."

Dabi's stone-cold gaze looked off to the distance. Y/N turned around out of curiosity. On a building was a giant LED screen. There was a picture of her with a vague description of Dabi.

Many people hadn't even read the news report. But the few quickly averted their gaze when she looked at them. Y/N tugged the hoodie over her face.

"Let's hurry." She said quietly.

Y/N walked even faster through the crowd with Dabi right by her.

----

Y/N leaned against the wall outside a public restroom as she waited for Dabi. She stood when she saw the familiar black hair man turn the corner on the sidewalk.

"Here." Dabi tossed a box of hair dye towards her.

Y/N caught the incoming projectile with both hands. It was the exact color she requested. She quickly read the instructions but was still shaky on the process. She knew what to do but how well she could do it was a different story.

Dabi noticed the doubt in her eyes.

"Have you done this before?" Dabi asked.

She looked up with a sheepish grin. Her mind was brimming with embarrassment the more his judging eyes bored into her.
