A/N: Yoooooooo we finally made it to 10 chapters! A personal goal I never thought was going to be completed. But now I am taking a break for a month. I will write the chapters but without the stress of a weekly deadline. I would like to thank those who have read and supported this fanfiction in its early stage. You gals have been the reason I made it this far.
Lots of love and Enjoy!

Another night had gone by after they were attacked by the mafia. Neither had talked to each other. Which was fine for Dabi since he usually preferred the silence. As Dabi walked through the alley, Y/N lagged behind.
Dabi turned when he noticed the footsteps behind him had become faint. He knew something was off, it wasn't like her to move this slow.
Y/N was yards away from him when he asked, "Is something wrong?"
"I'm fine." She said.
As Y/N got closer, Dabi could see her face clearly. Dark circles encroached under her eyes while her face seemed drained of life.
He gave her a doubtful look. It was annoying to blatantly lie to him when he could see she wasn't okay. He didn't need her to give out nor did he have time to play nurse if she fainted.
They didn't have time to find another place. So the dead-end was the only place they could rest for the day.
"Let's rest here," Dabi ordered.
Y/N looked around. The alley had nothing in it which was a good sign. They were also in the quiet part of the city. But it was still risky.
She hadn't slept after their first night on the streets, and before they left the apartment she hadn't slept either. Whether it was grief or fear of her recurring night terrors, she could not sleep. Y/N figured she could still be useful even with her insomnia.
"I'll take first watch." She said without a moment of hesitation.
"No. I will." He shot back.
Y/N simply ignored him. She walked into the dead-end, leaned against the wall, and waited for Dabi.
"You were on watch yesterday," Dabi said roughly.
"I'm okay." She tried to reassure him but her weak voice had not helped her claim. The words were just above a whisper as she closed her eyes.
There was nothing he hated more than a liar. It angered him even more that she took him as a blind fool as well. Dabi gritted his teeth before he closed the distance between them.
Y/N had her eyes closed for a moment. She opened them when she heard a loud thud next to her ear. Dabi was above her with his fist against the wall with seething eyes.
"It wasn't a suggestion." He snapped.
"Calm the fuck down." Y/N pushed his arm away from her.
She was not in the mood for an argument nor his bitchy attitude. She slid down against the wall and sat.
Y/N looked at him before her final request, "Just wake me up in a few hours." Y/N closed her eyes for the day, just as soon as she closed them, she fell asleep.
Her head lulled to the side as her chest rose and fell lightly. She looked peaceful while she slept. Dabi sat next to her as he sighed.
As soon as he sat down, her head fell on his shoulder. It startled him a little. Dabi tried to move her without waking her up. He nudged her to get her off of him but it only made it worse. Y/N's head slid from his shoulder down to his chest.
"Great..." Dabi said to himself.
It wasn't hard to breathe but he knew wouldn't be able to sleep in his position. On top of that, he had a strange rise feeling in his stomach. It wasn't motion sickness, Dabi knew that. It was a warm, almost bubbly feeling he never felt before. He tried to ignore it for her sake. She needed as much sleep she could get.
Dabi stayed awake through the day as she slept on his chest. He was watchful until night came.
Y/N began to stir as she woke up. Dabi woke up just in time for him to push Y/N off of him.
The only thing Y/N woke up to was a sudden movement before she hit the ground. Her head throbbed a little bit but she was alright. She knew it was Dabi that did it but she had no idea why.
"What the hell was that for?" Y/N turned on him with a fiery gaze.
"A wakeup call." He grinned.
"Whatever, wise ass."
