Ever since Lan Yan heard of Wong Xue Guo's birth, she had only seen her baby pictures. Since then, there have been no other pictures. Their big boss also does not talk about his family to them.

If he had not occasionally gone to Malaysia or spent so much time and effort in acquiring materials and technology for the Winter Fruit company, the gang members would have forgotten he was a loving husband and an anxious father.

Who would have thought the gang would finally have the chance to meet the grown-up young miss only when disaster strikes the world?

However, the young lady standing with a straight posture was not the image Lan Yan had expected. Taking into account who her parents were, many had bet Wong Xue Guo would be as fierce as her mother and as intimidating as her father.

That picture was too colorful to imagine.

"She looks like a good kid," someone from the back murmured.

Lan Yan agreed. Wong Xue Guo has no piercings, no dyed hair, no tattoos, and not even a hint of makeup. Her attire was not sexy or revealing and her spectacles added more points to her obedient-looking good girl. There was not even arrogance or the feeling of entitlement where some rich second-generation children subconsciously had on her.

It was rather rare that the parents with perfect eyesight would have a daughter needing spectacles.

If it was not because this girl resembled Charles, especially her eyes, Lan Yan would have doubted this rule-abiding kid to be his biological daughter. Even without the help of makeup, her fair skin and natural-born features brought out her beauty inherited from her good-looking parents.

How could these two people with rebellious and problematic attitudes have such a good kid?

When Charles Wong approached the girl, the gang grew excited over their chance to see their boss breaking his cold facade. Which father would not be joyful or loving towards their obedient and lovely daughter? No matter how cold their boss was, he could not possibly be cold towards his family!

Yet, the tearful reunion that the gang had expected did not happen.

"Tell your mother to reply to my message."

The gang secretly inhaled a deep breath at such a cold father. Should he not ask his daughter if she was alright and whether she was afraid of those monsters first? After hearing his daughter's complaints, he will then coax his tearful daughter and promise he will protect her?

His boss once again refreshed their view on him. Charles Wong was cold-hearted to the core!

And the strange thing was, the daughter did not look hurt at his uncaring response and answered, "Okay."

Wong Xue Guo: Mother, I've met up with father. He wants you to reply to his message.

Surprisingly, Suzie Yap replied almost instantly.

Suzie Yap: Tell him to stop bothering me. I'm busy.

How could the little cub dare to say that to the Alpha papa? She would have instantly died from her father's laser glare. Luckily, her mother sent her another message.

Suzie Yap: If Guo Guo needs anything from mummy, I will be here.

Mother, you might as well don't send the second message. How was she supposed to let her father read the reply now?

Even so, she still raised her phone to let her father read the content, with her expression remaining neutral. Perhaps her courage had grown bigger, for there was a small bud of anticipation to watch her father's reaction towards his wife's disregard for him.
