The Dream Team Is here

Dream POV

"George hurry up!" Sapnap yelled up the stairs. We were gonna go to the field and now we're waiting on George, as always.

"Shut up! I'm coming!" He spat back. A few minutes later, he came down with no changes in anything.

"What took you so long?" Sapnap whined. George just scoffed and rolled his eyes.

"I was looking for something" he answered. I wonder if that something was speed.

"Was it a better fashion sense cause you really need one" Sapnap grinned. George looked offended.

"I'm colorblind and there's nothing I can do about it!" He argued back. I sighed and cleared my throat catching their attention.

"Let's just go to the fields." I really do not want to hear an argument. I led the team and we made our way there. We pretty much walked in silence. Which didn't happen quite often.

"Hey Dream?" George asked. I turned around to look at him.

"Yeah?" I responded. He scrached the back of his neck awkwardly. He hesitated a bit before speaking.

"It's about the girl you told us about a few days ago" he said straightforward. It didn't faze me cause now I didn't have to keep crying or thinking about if she was dead or not.

"Her name is Elaine. What about her?" I specified. He looked like he was thinking about what he was going to say.

"Do you ever think you can meet her?" he asked nonchalantly. Of course I have but, I can't tell them yet.

"Yea alot actually but, sometimes it just feels like she's right there with me. Y'know?" I replied smiling softly.

"Whatever you say" I could see his confusion, but probably didn't wanna bother me about it. It wasn't a very long walk there. I saw some of the carved marks left by her. Elaine. You're back.

Is it worth continuing this war? I've got nothing to gain from all of this now that she's back. What will George and Sapnap think? I can't just end this without them being suspicious. Maybe they didn't want this in the first place. I didn't really ask them.

"George, Sap?" I wanna test the waters at least.

"Yeah?" They both said in unison. Okay, I just gotta twist it in a way that won't make it seems like I'm antagonizing my own idea. Especially when it seems like I'm surrendering to Elaine, which as much I love her I can't let them know that.

"Do you guys trust Eret to do it?" We had hired Eret to betray them at the end of the week. Demoralize them enough so they'd surrender.

"I mean yeah, he demonstrated it to us. He's not dumb enough to double cross us" Sap shrugged it off just fine. I need to double down.

"The chance is within them. They got three new members. Not to mention that serial killer" now that there's a basis, I can follow it up with Elaine so it doesn't seem suspicious.

"You don't think they can overpower us do you?" Sapnap challenged. He knows what I'm trying to pull here.

"No, I'm saying they might pull something on us, something drastic" I alluded. They weren't of course.

"We know they weren't from Eret, sooo" he replied, no difference from his shrugged demeanor.

"Again, I don't know if he can be trusted with that" we were basically in a calm argument.

"Can you shut up? My god, you two are insufferable" George finally spoke up. I knew he'd get fed up eventually. And I know he doesn't like this war messing with his life.
