Chapter 18
"Hilary!"
I lifted my head up to look at the door.
I just stared at it like that would somehow magically cause it to open.
That would be cool...
"Hilary!!!"
I groaned, throwing back the thick blankets I had drowned myself in and stood up, walking towards the door.
I had been spending my Saturday morning huddled in my blankets, watching my favourite movies and eating Ben and Jerry's.
Yeah, I know it's sad, but what can I say. These things always help take my mind off of drama.
Speaking of which...
I hadn't seen the jerk all morning.
He was avoiding me. What a coward...
'Says you'
Let me be!
I swung open the door to find Jordan standing there, looking up at me confused as to why I was being such a bi- er, as he would say, drama queen.
"Yes?" I asked him softly.
"Someone's here to see you." He said, still staring at me like he was trying to figure me out.
Good luck with that...
"Who?" I asked him.
"I can't say, they said not to tell you." Jordan said nervously.
My curiosity grew.
"Jordan..." I said warningly.
He quickly looked around, avoiding my stare.
"Who is it?" I said slowly, but demandingly.
I knew he would crack.
But he caught me by surprise as he quickly bolted down the stairs, screaming bloody murder.
Well then...
I trudged down the stairs cautiously.
For all I knew, it could be police officers wanting to arrest me from the whole ballon incident...
I checked behind me to make sure the stairs were clear to bolt up, just in case.
I froze as I reached the last step, my eyes hardening.
"What do you want." I said coldly.
Kylee looked up at me sadly. "Hilary, I need to tell you something."
News flash! I'm not so dumb, I already know your plan!
"I don't want to hear it." I said stubbornly.
"No, you have to. Please. It's important." She pleaded.
Oh, so she did have a heart and decided to tell me the truth.
But she had still chosen money over me.
I'd never forget that.
I looked into her eyes, and almost said yes. Almost.
I sighed. "Honey, I already know about your deal with my parents." I said casually.
I watched in amusement as her eyes widened.
"Then you need to hear my explanation." She said.
"And what if I don't want to?" I said coldly.
