Chapter 16
"Duck!" I yelled, and we all dropped to the floor on our stomachs.
We were all trying to hold in our giggles, as we heard the group of teens below cursing out to no one in particular.
For all they knew, the sky decided to give water balloon babies.
After I while, I peeked over the edge, and froze.
The group of teens had called the store's manager.
Crap.
We're toast.
I watched as the angry teens explained everything, and then pointed upwards.
I ducked just in time as the manager looked up.
I hadn't expected this...
It was mostly the elderly that got really pissed off.
Teens were supposed to be all chill... Right...?
"What?" Alex and Tyler both asked in unison.
"We need to get the hell out of here." I said to them.
They both just gave me confused looks.
"Those d*uchebags told the manager, and they can come up here any second." I explained.
Alex widened his eyes, as Tyler swore.
"Well we can't go back from the way we came, we'll get caught." Alex said, running a hand through his hair.
I got up and started getting rid of all the evidence.
I rushed over to Alex, and stuffed the packet of balloons down his pants.
He just stopped pacing for a second to raise an eyebrow at me, then continued.
I took the empty water bottles, and threw them off the roof, on the backside of the store.
"Okay, we gotta jump." Alex said, stopping now.
I gave him an 'are you mental' look.
"It's the only way! They're gonna come bursting through those doors any second, and possibly even bring the police, so we have to jump. Anyways, it's not too dangerous. There's a large crate of bouncy balls and stuffys, we could jump onto." Alex explained.
My heart was beating fast right now, and my palms were sweating.
I was too young for prison!
I hadn't even been married yet! Well, not that I was looking forward to it that much... But still! I had a whole life to live!
Tyler came up to me and took my hands, rubbing circles on the back side of my hands with his thumbs, soothingly.
"It's gonna be okay. I'll catch you." Tyler said to me softly.
I nodded, seeing as we really had no other option.
I peered over the edge, and saw there was no one around.
Without a word, Alex jumped off the railing, and went flying down.
I gasped and ran over to the railing, only to see him sprawled out in the crate of bouncy balls, smiling up at me.
I sighed in relief.
"I'll catch you princess, see you!" Tyler said excitedly, and then did the same as Alex.
How did they find this fun!?
I watched in horror as he flew down, and then relaxed when the huge teddy bears engulfed him.
