Chapter 19: Attempting Two Murders in One Day.

Chapter 19

"I don't know man, as soon as I mentioned the words 'family in law', she just blacked out."

"Dude! You weren't supposed to say anything until I told her!"

I groaned in annoyance as the two male voices bickering came into my hearing.

This really wasn't a pleasant thing to wake up to...

"Well you never told me that!"

I groaned again, this time louder to get the two voices to just shut up and let me sleep.

"Shut up! She's waking up!"

I heard a third voice suddenly yell.

Well, I wasn't planning on waking up just yet...

"Hilary!" I heard more louder this time, and then a few seconds later, I started shaking.

No, I wasn't having a seizure, I was being forcefully shook.

I snapped open my eyes and quickly bolted upright.

"EARTHQUAKE!" I screamed, my senses starting to come around.

There was a pause.

Then I heard laughter.

What the...

I turned my head and saw Alex, Tyler, and a familiar face cracking up.

That's when all the memories came flooding back.

Tyler's family was here.

And they thought I was actually marrying him...

As if he hadn't already hurt me, he decided to make me feel like the guiltiest person alive.

I also remembered my promise I made before I blacked out.

I jumped out of bed and before anyone could stop me, I tackled Tyler to the ground.

"AH! What did I do!?" He cried out, covering his face with his hands.

I started pounding my fists into his chest one by one, yelling in anger, "F*ck you! Why are you doing this to me!? I hate you so much!" I screamed.

I stopped my pounding for one second, to see his response, but he was just staring up at me confused and a little bit hurt.

"Answer me! As if I don't already feel like shit after you rejected me, you decide to call your family here!" I yelled, getting angrier and angrier and pounding harder and harder until my fists started hurting.

Suddenly, I felt myself being lifted by two strong arms.

I thrashed around, trying to get back to Tyler to finish my attempt to kill him, but gave up when exhaustion took over.

"Hilary! Calm down, you just fainted, you need some rest." Alex whispered soothingly in my ear.

I sighed in defeat and was set back down on my bed by Alex.

"Well... I gotta... go do something..." The strange man said awkwardly, turning around and booking it after.

"I'll get you some water." Alex said, walking towards the door.

"Wait!" I called out before he could leave.

I didn't want to be left alone with him...

"What?" Alex said, turning to me.
