Chapter 8
I watched intently as Kylee got up, and paced the room.
I had been here for almost an hour now, telling Kylee everything.
I had even told her about Tyler's dad, and made her swear not to tell anyone.
I had to get it all off my chest.
And man, it felt good now. I felt less.. Stressed.
I would've told Alex, but he would definitely get out a shotgun and murdered Tyler.
"I got it!" Kylee squealed, suddenly stopping right in front of me.
"What?" I asked, uncertain.
"I know how we can get you out of this situation!" Kylee cried.
"Kylee, I'm not running away with you to move to California and marry hot guys with abs and a nice tan." I sighed.
"As tempting as it sounds, that's not it."
"Okay... Then what?" I asked, confused.
"Your parents want you married, correct?" Kylee asked seriously.
"Yes, but I don't see how-" I started.
"Okay. So how about we get rid of Tyler. And then-" Kylee started.
"Kylee, I can't. Tyler needs the money. He said we'll divorce right after, but I don't want to give my parents the satisfaction of my life getting ruined. I have no idea what to do." I cut her off.
"Oh. First of all, we both need to stop cutting each other off." Kylee gave me a playful glare. "And second, I got another idea." Kylee smirked evilly.
"Agreed. And I'm not sure about this plan considering you have that look on your face." I said.
"What look?" She asked confused.
"The 'I'm gonna do something we're all gonna regret' look." I sighed.
Kylee scoffed and stuck out her chin.
I tried hard not to laugh.
"Anyways, as I was saying, my plan."
I rolled my eyes, and got up to get my third tub of Oreo ice cream.
What? I had a right to eat this much, I was going through so much stress.
She just glared at me and continued on.
"What if you and Tyler pretend. Pretend that you fell in love with each other, and get married willingly in front of your parents, that way, they'll think you're still living a happy life. Then, after Tyler gets his money, you guys divorce, and then you and I, and maybe Alex, can go live in Cali and meet some damn fine boys!" Kylee finished with a squeal.
I sat there, thinking about it.
It did sound like a good plan.
I mean, there was no other way.
"Okay fine. But if this plan doesn't work, you're not goin to Cali with me." I smirked.
"No! I am going to Cali! I can't wait to get out of here! And my plan WILL work! Okay?" Kylee argued.
We lived in the not so sunny part of Boston, and Kylee and I were always complaining about the weather.
"Okay, okay! Simmer down girl." I sighed blissfully as I stuffed another spoonful of delicious ice cream in my mouth.
"Whatever. So, part A of the plan. Tell Tyler and get him to agree with us. Then, we move onto part B." Kylee commanded.
"Looks like your parents' brilliant genes did pass down to you." I smirked.
I yelped as I felt me pillow smash into my face.
I just stuck my tongue out at her maturely.
"Ready?" Kylee asked, grabbing the keys.
I nodded and got up to head to the car.
I sat down in my convertible, while Kylee tossed her bag in the trunk.
We had decided that she'd spend the night at my house.
Kylee's parents were very busy all the time, and were hardly ever home, so that's why we spent most of the time with each other.
We drove to my house, singing along to Hedley.
I pulled into my driveway and groaned.
"What?" Kylee asked.
"They're here. Donna and Mike." I grumbled.
Kylee burst out laughing.
"I like how you call them by their first names."
"They don't deserve the M and D titles." I shrugged.
"True. But just make sure you don't get hit by Mike again." Kylee said, concern in her tone.
"Don't worry. I got you." I winked at her.
Kylee had taken Judo for four years, and could kick almost all the guys on our football team's asses.
That's why no guy ever looked at her in the wrong way or girls ever stood up to her.
We both got out and went to the front door.
I didn't bother knocking and just slammed open the door.
"I thought I made it clear I never wanted to see you again." I yelled out as I made my way towards the living room.
Kylee giggled quietly behind me.
I don't know how me being pissed off was funny... Crazy girl.
I suddenly froze as I entered the room.
Tyler had a bloody nose, Chris looked like he had been crying, and my parents were standing there in the middle with huge smirks on their faces.
"So this is what happens when I leave for only two hours." I sighed, closing my eyes.
I could really use that runaway trip to Cali right now.
