Chapter 12
"Day One, egg assignment, Tyler and Hilary." I read off of my paper I was holding.
So far, that was all we had.
Tyler and I were at home, working on our day one report for the egg. Each day, we had to record everything about the egg, and write a report. I couldn't wait till this was over.
I sighed and fell back onto my bed, grabbing the bag of chips from the side of my bed.
I was waiting for Tyler to come back with the darn egg so I could finish this and go over to Alex's. We were supposed to go to the mall. The winter ball was coming up, and I needed a dress.
I would've gone with Kylee, but she already had picked one out a whole three months ago with her mom, and was also sick today.
Alex did mind going, but he only agreed because I told him I'd buy lunch.
"Okay, get ready to meet our first child honey!" Tyler yelled from behind the closed door of my bedroom.
I groaned and got up.
"Just come in here so we can get it done and over with!" I cried.
I heard Tyler giggle, before saying in a booming voice "That's what she said!"
"Oh god..." I groaned.
This was going to be a long project...
He slammed open the door with an award winning smile, and held above his head, an egg.
Wait, an egg with baby clothes and a face drawn on it with sharpie...
"Seriously? You wasted twenty minutes, dressing up an egg?" I sighed.
"Well, it is our first child... I wanted him to look cute." Tyler grinned.
I rolled my eyes and snatched the egg from him.
He jumped onto my bed and lay down, putting his head in my lap.
My heart beat suddenly sped up.
I examined the egg closely. Yes, I actually examined an egg, checking for the smallest mark of a scratch, since that could result in a whole letter grade down. Stupid teacher.
"Okay, so far, it's in perfect shape." I said.
"What should we name him? It should be a mix between our names..." Tyler trailed off thinking.
"Tyler." I grumbled.
"Tilary! Or Hyler. Which
one? Ooh! How about-"
"Tyler!" I cried.
"Well, honey, we can't name our child after me, I mean that would be just weird..." Tyler said.
I let out an annoyed sigh and decided to just ignore him.
I picked up my pen and continued writing.
"What about Tyson?"
Keep writing.
"Or George?"
Keep writing. Ignore him.
"Maybe Flynn?"
Ignore him, ignore him, ignore him, ignore him.
"Justin? Nah, too common."
Ignore him, ignore him, ignore him. Just ignore him Hilary.
"Oh! How about-"
