Chapter 17
I rolled over onto my stomach, cracking open one eye and looking warily at the time, afraid that I had slept in.
I sighed in relief and was surprised when it read six-o-five, and not eleven-thirty.
Well that's a first.
I sat up and stretched, glancing at Tyler who was still sleeping quietly.
He looked so peaceful and adorable, that I just wanted to sit here and stare at him for hours.
But deciding on not being a creep for once, I climbed out of bed and walked to the washroom.
I took a long, hot shower, taking my own sweet time as I still had almost two hours before school started.
I climbed out of the shower when I was done, and winced as the cold air hit my skin.
This was the part that I hated most.
I dried myself off and slipped on my black skinny jeans, and pulled a long white top over my head.
After I was all ready, I stepped out of the washroom, seeing it was only six-thirty-six, and Tyler was still sleeping adorably.
I strode out of my room before my mind could convince me that sitting here and staring at him sleeping was not at all creepy.
I skipped down the stairs and was surprised when I saw Chris was awake too.
Something's going on here. My family, not including the sperm door and birth giver, were never morning people.
There was hope that this would all change, but then I thought it over and almost laughed when I pictured myself getting up early every morning.
Yeah, that could only happen in a parallel universe.
As I glanced back at Chris, last nights memories flooded my mind all of a sudden.
It was time to get some answers out of him.
"Good morning." I said casually, walking into the kitchen.
"Morning." Chris replied distractedly without moving from his spot. He had his back to me, and was holding a fresh cup of coffee.
I walked over to him, and stood in front of him, crossing my arms over my chest.
You're such a child.
Oh shut up mind.
Whatever lg.
This isn't over.
It can never be over with you.
What's that supposed to mean!?
Oh you know exactly what it means, you're the one thinking it stupid.
I'm not stupid!
Whatever you say...
I sighed in frustration, and Chris didn't even glance at me.
He had probably gotten used to this.
There was a long silence as I stood my ground and Chris just looked occupied, even slightly bored.
Finally, his eyes snapped to mine, and he spoke.
"I'm guessing you want to know what went down last night, and won't leave me alone until I tell you." Chris said simply.
Mind reader.
I stayed silent, nodding my head slightly for him to go on.
I watched as he stared off into space.
