Chapter 6

I stared at the credits rolling in. I just sat there with my mouth hanging open, curled up safely beside Alex.

That was the most scariest movie I had ever seen.

"Well, I gotta get home for supper before mom thinks I'm with a girl." Alex said as he got up and stretched.

"Technically, you are with a girl." I said back, switching off the TV.

"Well..." Alex trailed off.

"Shut up! You know darn well I am!" I shoved him so he stumbled and fell back onto the couch, laughing.

"Prove it." He whispered back, provoking me to blow up like a volcano.

"Now now. My future fiancée won't be proving anything to anyone other than me." Tyler spoke, getting up as well.

I just rolled my eyes at him. I had gotten used to him calling me that.

"Want me to prove how much I can make you scream?" I challenged.

"Oh please do." He said deeply with a stupid smirk.

I had not meant that sexual innuendo!

"I think you should go now." I heard Alex say gravely. He walked up to Tyler.

"Alex." I grabbed his shoulder but he shrugged me off.

Stupid overly-protective-best-friend!

"Well I think you should shut up before you get your pretty face pounded in." Tyler said just as gravely as Alex.

Alex raised a fist and swung it at Tyler.

I gasped and covered my eyes.

I slowly peaked out from my fingers.

Alex was standing there looking both shocked and pissed, while Tyler just smirked back with a completely calm expression, holding onto Alex's fist with one hand, in midair.

"Okay stop it both of you. Now." I said firmly, getting mad now.

Alex gave Tyler one last death glare, before turning around and walking towards me.

"Call me if you need anything." Alex looked into my eyes seriously, all that hatred and anger gone.

I just nodded.

I saw Tyler opening his mouth with a smirk, about to say a 'brilliant' comeback, when I stopped him.

If he got Alex more pissed... Well lets just say its better to leave him alone right now.

"Are you ready?" I asked him.

He frowned, but then replaced it with a cocky smirk.

"I'm always ready for you babe." He said as Alex stomped out the door.

"UGH! What's your damn problem? Can't you just for once talk normally without it turning into a sexual thing!?" I yelled.

He just stared at me like an idiot.

I sighed, grabbed the car keys to my convertible and started out the door.

The ride there was silent. But it was comfortable. Well for me at least.

Tyler kept running a hand through his hair and fidgeting with his hands.

"Where do I go from here?" I asked him, stopping at a stop sign.

I looked over at him when he didn't reply.

He was looking out the window, lost in thought.

"Tyler?" I asked softly.
