I. I Did Something Bad

GOLD lifted her eyebrow at the woman trying to make her lose their staring contest inside the store of Gucci in Greenbelt.

Akala yata ng babaeng 'to eh matatakot ako sa kanya.

"I got here first, and I got this bag first before you, Gold. Pwede ba, 'wag mo ngang dalhin dito 'yung ugaling kalye mo," untag ng babae sa kanya.

Other people might be offended by that statement, but not Gold. It is not totally a flex, but she has heard worst words compared to that. Ang sabihin na ugaling kalye siya ay sisiw na lang para sa dalaga.

Well, they are not wrong... my mouth is too foul, I might need to gargle holy water, she thought.

She snickered and held the handbag's handle tighter. "Can you even afford this, hmm? Wait, don't answer. Ana ang sasagot para sa'yo dahil ayokong marinig ang boses mo. No, right? So, ano bang pinaglalaban mo? At saka sino ka ba? I don't even know you but you are willing to start this beef with me."

Sasagot na sana ang babaeng kaharap niya, na hindi naman nga niya kilala kung sino, nang dumating ang saleslady sa tabi nila.

"Ma'am, I'm sorry but we have no more stocks of this bag except this one. The new stocks are still on their way," wika nito sa kanila.

"You heard that, Gold? Maghintay ka na lang daw muna."

Tumikhim ang saleslady at bumaling sa babaeng nang-aaway sa kanya. "Ma'am, sorry but Ms. Zamora is our VIP client so she is our priority for this item. We hope you understand."

Halata sa mukha ng babae na napahiya ito matapos marinig ang sinabi ng saleslady. Gold failed to contain the wicked smile on her lips upon seeing the woman's reaction.

"O, wala akong ginagawa sa'yo ha? I'm a VIP client so they need to do what they need to do. They probably don't even know who you are, dear."

Sumama ang tingin ng babae sa kanya. She is obviously pissed at her, but Gold does not care about it.

"Are you not active on social media? Don't you know I'm Wendy Garcia, a popular social media influencer?" sabi nito sa kanya.

Umarte si Gold na nag-iisip kunwari, pero bigla siyang ngumisi. "Listen, honey. If Gold Zamora does not know who you are, then you are not popular. Kilala ko lahat ng sikat dito sa Pilipinas, pero 'di kita kilala. Doesn't that speak already about your claim to fame? Also, mukha ba akong may pake sa kung sino ka? Anyway, excuse me, I need to pay for my bag. I hope you take care, miss whoever you are."

The woman named Wendy just looked at her, obviously mad because of her rebuttal, but Gold did not mind her. Nilagpasan na lang niya ito at sumunod na rin ang sales lady sa kanya.

"Thank you for assisting me, dear," sabi niya sa saleslady na nakangiti sa kanya.

"You're welcome, Ms. Zamora. VIP clients are always our top priority so I'm just doing my job," sagot nito. Gold paid for her bag using her debit card and bid goodbye to the saleslady. Kahit nang makaalis siya roon ay masama pa rin ang tingin ng babaeng nang-away sa kanya kanina.

Some people really believe that internet fame is real, huh? wika niya sa kanyang isip.

"But internet fame is just like money in Monopoly... it's not real," she mumbled to herself and started walking away from the store.

After her short trip in Greenbelt, Gold drove to a shooting location. Bibihisan niya kasi si Ronnie Molina, isang sikat na aktres, para sa shooting ng TV promo ng upcoming teleserye nito. Madalas na niya itong nakakatrabaho dahil matino ito at professional, at gustong gusto ni Gold ang physique nito dahil madaling bagayan ng kahit anong damit.
