Now playing: Heat Waves by Glass Animals
It's another one of those nights for Jeongin. The ones where he would do nothing but stare at his ceiling. It only started because of what he did months ago and ever since then, he found himself staying awake at godly hours.
He couldn't sleep. He tried everything; from shutting his eyes shut hoping to fall asleep to knowing to overwork himself during the day so he could get tired enough to get a good night's sleep. But nothing worked.
And he knew why.
His mind has been filling images and memories of one particular person that he had to break months ago. His mind had been reminding Jeongin of those sweet smiles, plump lips, freckles. His mind had been reminding him of Lee Felix.
He tried to get rid of his ex but he just couldn't, or maybe he didn't even try. So, he allowed himself to stay awake and think of the person who was called a sunshine.
Lee Felix was the best thing that happened to him.
But of course, Jeongin had to fuck things up.
Both of them met each other through their friend group. Felix was one of the dancers that Hyunjin and Minho heavenly praised and was also Seungmin's classmate. The freckled boy had the pleasure to meet the rest and even Jeongin.
Both of them hit it off and managed to find topics that they both were interested it. And let's just say, Jeongin was immediately whipped for the older.
They grew closer to each other as they continued to hang out with their friends but Jeongin decided to call Felix for more personal outings. Soon, they started hanging out with each other only and had sleepovers without anyone knowing.
They had their own little study dates and outings which definitely made the chemistry between the two even stronger. Not only that, but Jeongin fell for Felix too.
It was hard not to. He was sweet, he was kind, he was there for so many people; Jeongin included. You could fall for his looks and personality quickly, which was what Jeongin did.
So Jeongin did what he had to do, he amped up the outings and turned them into romantic dinner nights. He took the flirting to another level and had bought Felix numerous things.
Then when the time came, he took Felix to the beach and confessed right there as the sun was setting down. It was cliché and romantic but Felix returned the feelings back. He said that he liked the younger as well and he was glad that Jeongin was the one to make the move first.
Both of them shared a sweet kiss and Jeongin couldn't help but replay that moment many times in his head.
Both of them started dating and everything was going well. They were still themselves but they did go on a lot of dates with each other. They would cuddle whenever they were alone, they celebrated their anniversary together, they shared their first time with each other and that was amazing. Everything was perfect.
Everything was perfect.
Once they graduated college and started working, everything started changing. Jeongin changed; he knew he did.
He had the opportunity to do an internship at a pretty known law firm so he was excited about it. Felix even threw him a small party for getting that internship which Jeongin appreciated the most.
But when he started working, he barely had time to focus on other things. He solely put his attention to his work and nothing other than that. This led him to miss out on the little things like texting his friends about how he's doing, or missing out on lunch and sometimes dinner, or he'd even miss out on the little coffee run he would do with Felix every Monday.
