"Watch out!"

The sounds of groans and moans were coming from behind Seungmin and as he turned around, he was faced with two big shamblers rushing towards him. "Shit," he mumbled underneath his breath as he quickly took out his shotgun and moved to the side once they were getting close to him.

He aimed the gun towards one of the shamblers and didn't hesitate to pull the trigger, earning a loud pained scream. He shot it again until it finally fell to the ground and exploded, letting out its deadly gas and affecting the other shambler as well. "Get the other one! It's already weak!"

"On it!" Felix pulled out a bottle full of gasoline and oil. He lit up the wick and immediately threw it at the shambler that was already gaining its balance.

The Molotov cocktail landed on top of the shambler's head, exploding into a fire and burning the gross creature alive. Its shrieks slowly faded away as it crumbled to the ground and finally called its time of death when it released out a handful of harmful chemicals in the area around it.

"You alright?" Seungmin turned his attention to the blonde-haired male who was walking towards him.

He nodded as he regained his posture and finally let out a breath, he didn't know he was holding, "I didn't think there would be two of them lurking around in this area."

"Minho and Jisung must have missed this area," Felix hummed as he walked past the younger and over to the desk behind them. "I'm updating the journal."

"Make sure you state that there's a room full of spores," the brunette informed as he slowly approached the two lifeless creatures with his gas mask on. "We don't want more of our people dying because of that."

"Already did," the freckled boy placed down the pencil after he was finished writing and turned around to face the other male who was kicking one of the shamblers with his leg. "Careful now, they might come back to life, and boom, you're covered in chemicals that will slowly kill you."

"Haha, very funny; they're already dead and they're going to stay that way," Seungmin kicked it one last time before walking over to the older. "Speaking of dead creatures; why are there so many of them? We killed more today than the whole week."

"It's probably because of the weather," Felix answered as he grabbed his backpack and slung it over his shoulders. "Winter does make them slower but that doesn't mean it will kill them."

"Then, let's finish our route quickly, yeah?" Seungmin went over to where their horses were, with the older following behind, and gently pat his own horse. "We don't want to get caught in a storm."

The blonde hummed as he got on his horse and looked out at their surroundings. Trees were covered with white, houses were abandoned and broken apart and there were a few runners lurking about in the area. "We need to kill the remaining ones and scout out one last area before heading back to base," he stated and watched Seungmin get on his horse. "Chan wants everyone to be back before nightfall."

"We have a long way back and with this weather, I don't think we can make it back in time," the younger said as both of their horses started walking in the direction that they were going. "That guy...he needs to stop getting worried about things like this, we know what we're doing."

"You can't blame him," Felix sighed as he looked around to see if there were any creatures following them. "We lost a lot of people last year; he doesn't want to make the same mistake again."
