TW: GUNS, EXPLOSIONS, BLOOD
Changbin stared at the rearview mirror for the nth time before turning his attention back on the road once he found no one following them. He glanced to the passenger seat where the freckled boy was leaning his head against the window shield while looking out, staring at the trees and signboards that passed by.
They were currently driving to where ever the older's penthouse is and staying there until Seungmin could get their fake identities ready for them. The pain from his shoulder was still there but it wasn't as bad as before and thanks to Felix, the bleeding stopped but he still needed to get that treated.
The slow music was playing in the background as he let himself go deep into thought. He went back to the hotel and how everything went down. They were at a dead end and could have almost been killed if it weren't for Felix's quick-thinking skills that got them out of the situation.
Changbin even surprised himself when he trusted the younger with his life; he had never done something like that before. His father had always told him that the only person he could even trust was himself and that no one would ever be by his side, so why was he even going all out his way to trust his own rival?
Better than that, how does Felix have a connection with Minho?
When they have split up a few hours ago, the younger had immediately volunteered to scope up Minho's room to find some documents while the older went ahead to check out what the meeting between Chan and Jisung was about. He thought that the freckled boy could handle it and he did, but he didn't expect to be faced with him having cuts and a few hickeys here and there. It really made him question whether there was something going on between the two; Felix was his enemy, after all, they were just working together because they wanted to stop Chan from overtaking Seoul.
"I can hear your thoughts from all the way here," Felix's deep voice snapped him back to reality and he glanced to the side to see the younger in the exact same position. "If you have something in your mind; ask it."
Changbin rolled his eyes and sighed; it was better to know now than regret later. "How do you know Minho?"
"He's Jisung's ally?" the freckled boy turned to face the older. "You're going to have to be more specific."
"I meant what was your relationship with him before," he rephrased. "Those bruises on your neck tell me that something else happened when you were back at the hotel."
Felix kept quiet as he brought a hand to touch his neck gently. He looked like he was in thought, deciding whether or not he should tell the older and it took a minute or two to finally pick one. "Well, you're helping me with this so I might as well let you know," he mumbled to himself but Changbin could hear it.
"What are you talking about?"
"We were a thing, me and Minho," the red-haired male stated, resting his elbow on the surface of the window shield and placing his head on the palms of his hands. "We didn't make it known and I'm glad we didn't."
"Why is that?"
"We weren't a match and it just disturbed our work."
"That's why you guys broke up?"
Felix shook his head, "It was more than that."
His fingers that were wrapped around the steering wheel were rubbing themselves gently on the leather surface. He wasn't sure he should be asking this but since they were already deep in this conversation that they were having and his curiosity was growing more, he still asked. "What else is there?"
