They arrived at the second house that Tony had provided them after a few hours. They walked into the entrance and felt a little at home, in the sense that a huge room in a huge house with expensive items was something they both found familiar. They weren't expecting some blue light to begin scanning them.
"Hello, Shoto Todoroki and Momo Yaoyorozu," said a voice, "I am J.A.R.V.I.S., personal assistant to Mister Stark. I was told to assist you here while also assisting Mister Stark on his end."
"Um... hello," Todoroki said.
"The time right now is 5:57," J.A.R.V.I.S. continued, "I recommend having a full meal before setting about your work."
"Right. Yaoyorozu," Todoroki turned to her, "I'm going to see what he has in the kitchen. Care to join?"
"No thanks," she replied, "I want to try something that is apparently done often in California."
"Alright."
Yaoyorozu was guided by J.A.R.V.I.S. to her room, while Todoroki was guided to the kitchen. The kitchen itself was what a master chef's kitchen would look like. Opposite the kitchen was a lot of glass leading to a balcony. He checked the pantry and found exactly what he wanted after digging around for a couple of minutes: soba. He heard footsteps to his right, the direction he had come in from. He looked over and quickly turned back. Yaoyorozu was in a bikini going to the balcony.
"Y-Yaoyorozu," he said, trying to hide his flusteredness, "why are you in a swimsuit?"
She walked over and stood right next to him. He couldn't look at her. If he did, he knew his scar would easily be able to hide from the amount of blush that would show on his face.
"On the way here," she said, "I read that it was customary to 'soak up the sun' when you visit."
"Right. What do... you want to have?"
"What are you making?"
"Cold soba."
"I think I'll have some, too."
She walked out to the balcony. Todoroki briefly glanced out on the balcony and felt the blush rising.
"Get a hold of yourself, Shoto," he reprimanded himself quietly, "you've seen her in her hero costume. It reveals as much as... actually, it is less revealing, all things considered. Is that why I got so embarrassed?"
He continued to stew on it, but not aloud. Several minutes later, the Soba was nearly ready. He went to the balcony and looked off of it while speaking to Yaoyorozu.
"The soba is nearly ready," he said, "did you want something to drink?"
"Hot tea, please," she said, glancing at him.
Is that blush? she thought, I guess even Todoroki can get nervous about some things.
He went back in. A couple of seconds later, he was back out. He tried to look at her but only got a third of the way.
"What kind?"
"Gold Tips Imperial."
He disappeared for a minute. He came back out and looked two-thirds of the way at her.
"He doesn't have any."
"Oh. Then darjeeling."
He disappeared again. Five minutes later, he was back. He finally faced her. As he knew, his face turned deep red.
"I don't know how to make tea."
Yaoyorozu rose and saw his red face and bashful expression. She put her hand on his cheek.
