Thanos was intrigued by the kid who stopped him from snapping. He looked straight into his eyes and saw determination. Midoriya flew off of the gauntlet and stood staring straight at him. The second Thanos made any form of movement was when Midoriya would attack. Thanos clenched the gauntlet, and all of the stones glowed. Midoriya disappeared from his vision. Thanos then felt a massive kick in his back. Before he could even turn around, he felt another in his jaw. The force combined flipped him over. He rose and saw Midoriya standing just a ways off.

"Well," Thanos said, "you're certainly going to be a challenge, Izuku Midoriya. Or would you prefer I call you Deku?"

"How do you know me?" Midoriya asked, his determination not faltering, his voice unwavering.

"I know lots of things. But I'd like to see your prowess first hand. I know of none who can go fully one on one against me. You might just be the first."

The stones glowed on his gauntlet. Midoriya blinked away from Thanos's view again. Instead of being surprised by one of his attacks, he managed to use the time stone to slow time enough for him to block the attack. It still hurt, but he blocked it. Midoriya then bounced right off him and attacked even faster than Thanos had anticipated. Midoriya ducked under Thanos's block and managed to land a solid hit on him, sending him flying. Thanos used the space stone to teleport back to Midoriya. He came through the portal and slammed the gauntlet into his chest. Midoriya flew away, and Thanos prepared to snap again.

Midoriya rebounded back fast. He manages to knock his gauntlet's thumb back from the finger he would have used to snap. He then kicked Thanos in the mouth, sending him flying yet again. Thanos reappeared in another portal, and the red stone began glowing. Hundreds of Thanoses appeared around him, and the real Thanos disappeared into the crowd.

"That should buy me enough ti--"

He felt both of Midoriya's feet slam into his back, and he fell forward. He looked back and saw all of the clones turning to red mist. He sent a pulse out with the purple stone, but to his shock, it didn't affect Midoriya.

"You won't win," Midoriya said, "I'll make sure of it!"

He disappeared from Thanos's view again. Thanos had all of the stones glowing. He could see hundreds of moves Midoriya could make, but which ones he would were a blur. To his mild confusion, though, he was presently just zipping around the entire area. Then he felt repeated powerful kicks to the back of his right thigh.

"United..." Midoriya said.

More repeated, powerful kicks to left knee. Thanos was on his right knee, kneeling.

"States..." Midoriya said.

Multiple punches into Thanos's chest knocked him flat on the ground.

"OF..." Midoriya said.

He then saw Midoriya flying straight down at him with his fist pulled back. Thanos clenched a fist with the gauntlet. He simply hoped to survive this.

"SMASH!!!" Midoriya screamed.

Midoriya slammed his fist into Thanos's chest. They both heard a cracking and cruching of bone. Thanos let out a scream of agony. Midoriya got off of him, and Thor's axe flew into Thanos's chest. Thor briefly taunted him before shoving the axe even deeper. Thanos then began whispering something to both of them. The rest of 1-A was coming out of their different states of shock, unconscious, or incapacitation.

"You both should have..." Thanos whispered, "You both should... you both should have gone for the head."

The gauntlet barely lifted off of the ground, set to snap. Midoriya barely saw it before the unthinkable happened. Before he could react, everyone heard the one sound that spelled their defeat.
