Kaminari, Jiro, Midoriya, and Uraraka were putting in earpieces for the mission. Steve had introduced the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents with them as members of S.T.R.I.K.E. led by Agent Rumlow. Night had already set in, and they weren't that far from their target. The students began putting on parachutes when the pilot said they were five minutes from the drop zone.

"Anyone else find it hard to believe," Kaminari said out of nowhere, "Todoroki and Yaoyorozu have been dating for about a year and a half?"

"Minetta certainly hasn't," Jiro said.

Kaminari chuckled. He put his right hand over his heart, and he left hand out and said in his best Minetta impression, "My great white whale has eluded me and been found by another. Now, I must pursue her current holder and make her mine own somehow."

All four began giggling and chuckling.

"Was that Moby Dick?" Midoriya asked.

"I didn't think you had an interest in classic literature," Uraraka said.

"Is that where the term 'great white whale' comes from?" Kaminari asked, "I've never read the book, I've only heard the term as being some elusive prize."

"Of course you wouldn't have an interest in classic literature," Jiro said, "I don't think you have an interest in anything."

"Ouch, that hurt," Kaminari said, clutching his heart with his right hand while playfully shoving Jiro with his left.

"We're right over the drop zone," the pilot said

The back of the quinjet opened up. Natasha and Steve exchanged a few words before Steve jumped out. Everyone else began jumping out as well. Underneath them, in the sea was the ship they were to land on and where their mission was.

"Kaminari," Rumlow said, "jam their transmissions."

Kaminari tapped his headpiece, and electricity flowed through it. All outgoing calls would go unanswered, and no calls would go through for the next however long their mission took. Near the landing zone, they saw Steve motionless at gunpoint. Midoriya fired an Air Force smash on the gunman, incapacitating him. Everyone landed.

"Jiro," Steve said, "where are the hostages?"

She plugged an earphone jack into the deck and listened. There were many different people groupings, but most of them sounded like they were freely moving. There was one group, though, where only about five or six were moving. The others were stationary, and from the sound of their heartbeats, some were scared.

"They're in the kitchen," she said, "along with a few guards."

Everyone set about to their tasks. Which for the 1-A heroes meant Kaminari and Jiro just sitting where they are and listening to everything play out as she kept listening for where any other hostages might be and he kept the signal jammed, and for Midoriya and Uraraka it meant they'd have the fun job of actually fighting the pirates. After everyone had split, Kaminari and Jiro sat down and just waited.

Midoriya and Uraraka went to the information center, which looked like an office complex. Milling about were pirates looking at data. Midoriya launched himself at one after receiving the all go by Steve. Uraraka followed, putting her training with Natasha to use. She used a bunch of open palm strikes, which sent pirates floating, and kicks to send them flying. Seconds after they started, it was over. Uraraka released all of the unconscious floating pirates, and they went back to Kaminari and Jiro.

"Well, this was boring," Kaminari said.

"It was too fast," Midoriya said, "but, maybe we'll be called on by S.H.I.E.L.D. now."
