The Meteor

Todoroki and Yaoyorozu watched at the edge of the meteor as the people who managed to get off and out ran from falling debris. There were still too many near them to safely leave. After they'd heard Ultron's speech, they knew they needed some way to destroy the meteor while saving everyone. They snapped out of their thoughts when they heard a few of the civilians scream. They turned and saw several Ultron bots hovering near the civilians. Todoroki shot a beam of fire that caused a few of the bots to overheat and explode. Yaoyorozu created a pair of titanium swords and cut through the bots easily.

"Shoto, Creati," one civilian asked them, "tell us: will we be safe? How will we get out of here?"

"Honestly we don't know," Todoroki said, "Any chance of rescue seems impossible, and Ultron plans to use this city to wipe out life on this planet."

"That being said," Yaoyorozu interjected, "we have no intention of sacrificing the innocents up here to save everyone down there."

"You create things from nothing, right, Creati?" A person asked, "Why don't you just make parachutes for everyone in the city?"

"I don't make things from nothing," she replied, "I use the lipids in my body to make stuff. I can also only make stuff that I know the exact chemical composition of. If I make too many things, I will pass out."

"What about you, Shoto," another said, "can't you just make an ice slide and get us back to ground safely?"

"It's not that simple," he responded, "while the city is going straight up, the earth itself is still rotating beneath. So for every one slide I make, I'd need to make another immediately. And if I overuse my ice, I'll end up freezing."

Even more Ultron bots came flying over. Todoroki and Yaoyorozu dealt with them quickly and decided to escort the civilians to a better location. Someplace where there was more safety in numbers.

Kaminari and Jiro were in the middle of a full on brawl against Ultron bots. Jiro was ripping them apart with her amplified heartbeats and Kaminari was overloading them with energy. After the wave ended several civilians came out of hiding.

"Is it just me," Kaminari asked, "or are these guys easier than the Chitauri?"

"Oh, they're easier," Jiro said, "they're so much easier."

"Chargebolt, Earphone Jack," a civilian said, "thank you for helping us! Please, can you get us somewhere safer?"

"Yeah," Kaminari said, "shouldn't be much of a problem."

"Denki," Jiro said, "watch our backs. I'll lead the way."

Jiro lead the group of seven while Kaminari brought up the rear. The trip to finding the location of other civilians wasn't too eventful. Along the way, they saw Todoroki and Yaoyorozu with their group and they joined up.

Kirishima and Ashido were surrounded by lots of Ultron bots. Ashido was sliding around spraying acid all over them and Kirishima was shredding them with his normal hardening. The area they were at was evacuated a while ago. Kirishima grabbed the last one and threw it at Ashido, who covered her arm in acid and slammed it into the Ultron bot.

"These guys are even less tough than the Chitauri," Ashido said.

"Think there are more of them than Chitauri though?" Kirishima asked.

"Doubt it. I mean they were a space army. These guys are robots. They're nothing we haven't handled before."

"Guess you're right about that!"

They both charged their way to the next area that may or may not have bots. They saw that there were a couple of civilians trapped under rubble.

"Red Riot, Pinky," one cried, "help us!"
