Adam

He was angry, no, he was fuming. He went over of what happened in the past hour.

It all started from that dreadful visit from his uncle.

How could his uncle ever ask something like this from him. Didn't he know he could never ever do something like that.

He had promised Lucy to be with her not to love anyone else but her.

Although she had asked, no, begged Adam to move on before passing away. He knew he couldn't and he didn't lie.

His uncle has been persuading him to marry someone for a while now, and it has been mentioned more than a few times.

But he could never have imagined him to go as far as guilt trapping him.

He was really mad at what his uncle- Ali- had suggested. He couldn't believe his own ears when he said that.

He was happy that he would finally see his uncle after so many months, he was looking forward to meeting him. But now he regrets seeing him.

He practically forced him into marrying someone else. And he knew he just could never do that.

But Ali guilt trapped him about what he had done and how much kindness he actually has given to him. Adam couldn't deny that. And he really is so grateful for everything. But going as far as marriage he couldn't do that.

He finally told his uncle to give him some time to think about it. In hopes he would forget. But he knew Ali wouldn't forget especially when he had found the 'perfect' girl for him.

He played with the ring on his finger remembering his wife's endless smiles and laughs. The way her eyes shone like there were stars living in them. How she smiled at him with those striking grey eyes that took his breath away. Or the way her hand fit perfectly against his

He couldn't forget his wife. And he wouldn't.

But then his mind went over her last days, and how death took away the light and sparkles in them. He shook his head as images of Lucy in pain came to his mind.

He couldn't take it.

He looked at his watch seeing he was already late enough for his meeting with Yusuf Salih.

He had already called in advance saying he would be a little late.

He made his way into the building in hopes that the meeting would go smoothly, he already was in a foul mood. And he surely didn't need another headache. They were meeting with the financial attorney, Yusuf had said it was just a check up so hopefully everything will be fine.

As he saw the open door to his office he heard their voices, one being Yusuf and the other a female's voice. And weirdly that voice seemed somehow familiar to Adam's ears.

He shrugged. Maybe it's just a common voice.

But once he was inside, he came face to face with the same grey eyed girl he saw the first time he was here, months ago.

The eyes that was only a shade darker than Lucy's.

He could feel her gaze at him once they were introduced and in no doubt she recognized him too.

And in a flashback an image of Lucy smiling, her eyes sparkling came into his mind; he thought he could hear her laugh.

But soon, in a moment that smiley image was gone and instead came an image of Lucy screaming in pain into his mind.

He shut his eyes tightly and when he opened them he noticed Yusuf giving him a weird look but thankfully the girl's eyes were looking downwards.

But then she continued staring back at him. Adam noted.
