This is my favorite chapter... You get to know a little bit about Farida.

Farida

"No I will never wear this." Farida backed away from those evil grins.

"You have to do it. This is the third time we're going out for shopping. Your wedding is in a week and you still haven't chosen. Spare me some you know I hate shopping." Noor whined as she held the dress.

"No, I will not. This is horrible. It has too much lace and it's a mermaid style." Farida cried out shaking her head. She was not wearing this.

"Yes. Because it's a wedding dress." Salma said slowly. As if Farida didn't understand.

"No!" Farida said sternly.

"Oh yes." Noor responded with just as much strength.

"No, no , no. A thousand times no. You can't make me do this." Farida.

"Ugh. Fine then how about this one?" Salma sighed in defeat as showed up to Farida with yet another dress on her hand.

Farida has to admit the dress was beautiful. The upper part was designed beautifully with sleeves long enough then it flew from the waist in a gown shape.

The dress just took her breath away.

"Let me try it first." Farida took the dress and rushed back to the changing room.

Once she was done wearing it and with the help of one of the employees, she looked into the mirror.

When she saw herself, Farida knew it was the right dress.

As she was out both Noor and Salma gasped. Even little Ammar looked at her with wide eyes.

"This is beautiful." Salma let out.

"Yeah." Noor murmured next to her.

"I know I really like it too." Farida announced.

"Then why the long face? You said you liked it?" Noor looked questioningly at her.

"I do, it's just..." Farida trailer off not knowing what to say.

"It's just what?" Noor raised her eyebrows.

Farida sighed deeply. "I don't know."

"We will take this one." Noor informed the woman who just helped Farida.

"Wait! I said I don't know. Not I will buy it." She protested.

"Just tell me one good reason you don't want to wear this beautiful dress. You said it is beautiful and you like it as well so what is it?" Noor narrowed her eyes at Farida.

"Mother won't like it." Farida said in defeat.

And it was true Halima would never agree to her buying this. She precisely said no lace and let it be a smooth dress.

Farida had asked her why she didn't come herself to see her in the dresses but her mom just shrugged and said she didn't have the energy and was too old for this.

Farida was honestly confused with her mother.

She thought that this is what her mother wanted, to marry someone agreeable and good looking. Then what was it now? Why did she act so distant to her?
