Adam

Adam looked next to him as he saw Farida smile gently at one of her uncles and cousin.

His uncle's words were ringing through his mind.

'Don't compare her with Lucy son. She may look like her but she is a different person. Don't expect her to be like Lucy'

The first thing came to his mind was how his uncle too noticed how much Lucy and Farida look alike. And if he did realize then why did his uncle say that Farida was the perfect girl?

Then Adam thought over what he just said. And he really did think over it.

Dose he really compare Farida to his previous wife?

Did he actually married her for that? For her looking like Lucy?

And did he expect her to be like Lucy in anyway?

Farida's eyes met with his. Adam kept looking and she blushed and turned her head away.

No Adam couldn't compare Farida to Lucy. They couldn't be compared.

He did not marry her for looking like Lucy and he did not expected her to be like Lucy.

They were two different people. Each special in their own way. They could not be compared, they just couldn't.

He knew Farida now for long enough to know that. Before maybe he didn't even think like that that. But now he knows.

And at this moment, when he really does think over about it, they are just too different to be alike.

Farida being fierce and always speaking her mind whilst Lucy was more on the shy side.

Then he started to think bitterly how Farida had a much better life than Lucy.

She was a perfect girl. She was rich and has parents who loves her. She probably never went through anything hard.

He didn't notice the way he was glaring at Farida until she gave him a confused glance and started glaring back at him.

And that was the thing about Farida. She didn't care why you were angry with her. She didn't care why you were bad with her.

But if you treated her badly she will not just take it from you. She will respond.

When Adam thought that he looked away.

He didn't have the the right to judge and just hate her.

He didn't really know her.

He looked down in shame at that.

He had no right.

After a few long hours, Adam wanted nothing more but just to go to bed. This wedding experience was such a tiring thing.

He wasn't used to so much people gushing and pinching him. His cheeks were throbbing so bad.

Alhamdulilah now there wasn't many people left. Only their family. Plus Yusuf and Noor.

Whenever he would glance over at them Noor would make a gesture with her hands pointing to her eyes then pointing back to him like saying I'm watching you.

And of course glaring at him the whole time.

That woman could be really scary.

Farida on the other hand was slumped in her seat complaining about heels.

"-never again. Whoever invented heels wanted us woman to suffer. Wanted us to feel pain and die from it. Like what is this? A torture weapon? It sure feels like one. Trust me if you wore it you will know what I'm say-"
