Farida
Farida was still hung over what had happened in the last two hours.
How Adam had turned out to be the spouse that made her father smile like that and how they both can't reject each other although that's all what they want.
She couldn't let her parents down again. Specially now after she has seen their proud smiles. That smile she had been wishing for years now.
And when she finally got it. It had to be the cause of the man whom she called her enemy.
They still stayed silent for another few minutes.
Then Adam's voice came behind her and she stopped biting her nails.
An annoying habit that she needed to let go.
"You know I can never love you like a man would love his wife." Adam whispered to her.
"Yeah genius. I figured that out form the last few times when you openly told me you don't want to marry me." She rolled her eyes.
Man that guy was something. He didn't need to lay out salt on her wound.
It was hurting enough as it is.
"No, I mean not only you. Anyone else. I am not capable of that kind of love." He mumbled to her. His head down.
"Well that makes two if us." She said mostly to herself.
Adam looked up at her. "What do you mean?"
"I mean that I don't want love and don't need it. I don't even want to marry now. I have other plans." She shrugged simply telling him the half truth.
She don't need love and she didn't want it too. But she hoped for it.
But again it's silly to hope for impossible things isn't it?
And she surly wasn't about to tell him about her feelings and start a heart to heart session.
That was just ridiculous.
Again they both turned silent. Adam in his own thoughts and Farida in hers.
"Wait." Adam shouted.
"Shhh keep your voice down." She shushed him.
"I have an idea." He said looking excited.
"What?"
"Well since I can't love you and you don't want to love-"
"Or need it." Farida interrupted.
Adam looked at her now annoyed. "Or need it. I have an idea."
"Well you already said that before but now you may say what your idea is." She said gesturing him to tell her his idea. Because now she was getting impatient.
"Let's get married." He announced grinning.
Farida had to admit his grin was beautiful.
Heck he was beautiful.
She internally slapped herself.
You are not suppose to think this way Farida. You hate him. Remember?
A voice said in her head.
Yeah that's right I hate him.
She came back to reality and his words registered in her mind.
"What? Are you crazy? You spent the last half hour complaining about how you don't want to marry me and now this. You are just simply crazy." She shook her head. Staring at him unbelievingly.
