Farida

"You know one of us really need to learn how to cook." Adam said beside her, sprawled lazily on the sofa, Farida's head was on his lap once again.

Adam played gently with the tips of her long midnight hair.

"I know." Farida agreed.

"We can't live off of noodles and fast food forever." Adam pointed to the empty dishes. That minutes ago were filled with, good, tasty noodles.

"I know." Farida nodded.

"Then what do you say we do?" Adam asked, turning his attention away from the tv and looked at Farida.

"I don't know." She shrugged.

"What's up with the small answers?" Adam raised his eyebrows.

"I don't know." Farida said again and shrugged.

Adam sighed a heavy sigh.

"How about we both start taking cooking lessons." He suggested.

"I already have." Farida mumbled. Not averting her attention from TV.

"Really from whom?" Adam asked suspiciously.

"My mom." Farida replied. Finally looking at him.

"That doesn't count." Adam shook his head.

"Then what do we do?" Farida asked.

"How about I take my lessons from Yusuf, and you from Noor? I think that would work well." Adam said thoughtfully.

Farida scoffed.

"Yeah right. Noor would kick me out in a heartbeat."

"Why?" He asked more like whined.

"Because she thinks I will burn her kitchen down." Farida said truthfully.

"Why would she think that? Come on we have to at least try." Adam complained.

He was looking down at her with a that adorab-ugly pout of his.

Farida smiled despise not wanting to.

"Because it might have had happened before." She bit her lip nervously.

She really was an awful disaster in the kitchen.

"But can't you convince her? We really need some lessons. We are desperate." Adam pegged on.

Farida sighed, giving a small shrug. It was kind of hard to do it while laying in his lap, she was sure she looked like a fish out of water when she tried to shrug.

"I guess I will ask her. Inshallah she will accept." Farida gave in.

Adam casted a beauti-horrible smile down at her.

"Great." He hummed in satisfaction.

Then they sat in silence.

Even though no words were spoken between them, Farida could feel Adam wanting to ask.

To ask that one thing he has been curious about ever since he had picked her up.

It was obvious with the way he was fidgeting with might she add her hair, and often glancing at Farida and staring until he shakes his head and looks away.

It really was obvious.

She wished he wasn't though.

Because whatever question he has will hit Farida in the heart. And their argument won't be very...civil.
