Chapter 21: Betrayer or a Cheater!

"Can I come inside?",

Mayaan asked with her gaze low,

She was in a crimson red wrap dress and a black shawl on her shoulders. Her hair were one side loose braided. She appeared like a freshly bloomed red rose.

I turned my back towards her,

"What do you want now Mayaan ?"

I said fiercely,

"I have something that needs to be given to you before the sunrise,

Please,

It's for your own good!"

She said assuredly still with her gaze low,

I closed the curtains and didn't answered meanwhile I heard the sound of heavy rain and thunder. With ending the call I threw my phone on the bed,

Definitely,

She must have left,

She won't be standing out there,

She's no more a friend or anything else to me,

I inhaled the smoke feeling it inside my lungs but all I remember closeness of Mayaan. I don't know why but it felt like she was still there but I didn't opened the curtains. With burying the cigarette in ashtray I thought of taking a shower to relax my nerves from her thoughts even thou I knew it wouldn't help me. After taking a shower I wore my clothes and as I came in my room I heard the sound of thunder, they were horrifyingly loud meanwhile electricity went, it was blackout.

I thought to keep the curtains aside but a thunder strikes louder than before & a figure appeared out, standing in the balcony. I rushed towards the window and opened it.

"You are still here?",

Mayaan was standing out in balcony; she was wet from head to toe. She was holding something covered with her shawl. I shrugged her by shoulders and she didn't moved or raised her head.

"Have you lost your senses girl?",

I scolded,

" I need to give you this thing now",

Mayaan answered in a low voice, she was increasing my temper. I pulled her inside and closed the window and opened the curtains, the lightening was continuously happening. I brought a towel and kept it on the couch,

" Take this towel and dry off yourself or else you might get ill",
