Chapter 28: Special or Unforgettable?

"I Love you Mayaan",

I confessed in between the sobs feeling her lifeless in my arms.

Few hours earlier,

"I hope Mayaan will be here,

Are you sure mother that you gave her the invitation!",

I marched from left to right in my parents room while my mother was getting ready, I was scared even thou I knew she will say Yes but still. It was Mayaan the girl who surprises me always with her new sides and beside my mother had no idea that I had proposed Mayaan;

"Son relax,

She will be here, I have sent the driver to bring her",

Mother said smoothly trying to calm me but it wasn't working cause I won't believe it until I see that girl here in the party. I know my heart and mind won't relax so easily,

"Omair,
If you don't mind could you leave my dear cause I have to change",

Mother pointed towards the door and I walked out of the room with rolling my eyes.

I walked in the hall and my feet freezes as I saw her. She was looking sensuously beautiful in a creme color Sabrina crop top and a floral midi skirt with light pink platform heels. Her hair were tied in a graceful ponytail with silk ribbon and she had pink crystal stud on her ear.

Mayaan was standing with my sister and a group of girls, my pulse rate increased when she looked at me and then changed her gaze shyly. She knew that my gaze was fixed on her. I walked to the place where she was standing and stood next to her;

"I know that it won't sound new to you but still I can't stop myself from saying it",

I whispered close to her ear, she looked up at me with frown brows. My arm slides around her waist;

"You look beautiful",

"Why do I have to stay far from that gathering,

Give me one genuine reason mother!",

I was dragged in my room by mother holding my ear like I was a teenage boy who's been caught while doing an evil activity,

"You want a reason,

Well it's simple,

Stop bothering Mayaan cause she's here to socialize with those ladies not to be locked up with you in a room",

Mother tied her hand on her chest,

"Why does she needs to socialize mother?,

She knows me and our family,

Beside now she also knows Shoug's friend too & I guess that much is enough,

Don't you think so?",

I said while keeping my index finger on my chin thoughtfully.

"No,
It's not enough for her, she is a beautiful well sophisticated girl and according to me every mother wants a girl like Mayaan to be her son's bride. So, all these ladies are looking for a bride for their sons and this girl is the best option",

Mother explained while looking herself in the mirror and I was terribly shocked on the reason behind Mayaan being invited here,

"She can't marry those ladies son",

I protested with anger,

Mother laughed while tapping my cheek gently and said;

"Yes,
She can son!",
