Part Twenty One

I didn't know how to answer to that. I really didn't want to go to the gathering and see Diana. But the thing is, I didn't want to the giant to keep on being at odds with his mother because of me. I didn't want to ruin the mother and son relationship they had before I was in the picture. But even so at the same time, I seriously didn't want to go. Diana had showed me flames at the Christmas lunch last year when she tried matchmaking the giant with a woman called Cassandra right there in front of me. It's the day I found out that she had been pretending me this whole time. I groaned miserably.
Zano: "Woman we won't go if you don't want."
Me: "I really don't want to go Zano but I also don't want this wedge between you and your mother to grow." He grunted.
Zano: "It's her own fault woman." I sighed.
Me: "Za-."
Zano: "We won't go." He said in finality... "I'll call her tomorrow and tell her."
Me: "She's going to hate me even worse." He grunted.
Zano: "Don't worry yourself about that. I don't hate you and that's what matters." I nodded... "I will protect you woman. Always." I turned and gave him a smile.
Me: "I know honey." I whispered. He gave me a bruising kiss.
Zano: "Good." He said gruffly against my lips... "now finish watching your TV show woman." He ordered. My lips were still tingling from the kiss he just gave me. I licked my lips. I wasn't thinking about my favorite TV show now. I was thinking about something else. He chuckled deeply... "my woman wants my dick." He stated cockily. I released a shaky breath. Why was I so needy like this. Yes, I've always been needy people but not like this. This was on another level... "woman." He growled... "if you keep on staring at me like that, I will turn you and fuck you now on this couch." He said that with so much dominance that my whole body came alive.
Me: "Zano..." I moaned needy against his mouth.
Zano: "I warned you." Then he was on me.

It was the next day. I was already at school. I was going to have my third class in 30 minutes. I was waiting by the canteen. I had bought myself orange juice and some snacks because I had felt a little dizzy and weak after my second class. My phone started to ring. My eyes widened a little when I saw who it was. It was Diana. I think I could guess why she was calling me. I'm sure the giant had called her and told her that we were not coming to the gathering. I really didn't want to talk to her but because I didn't want to be rude, I answered her call.
Me: "Hello Diana."
Diana: "Are you happy with yourself?" She asked angrily. What?
Me: "What do you mean?" I asked tiredly.
Diana: "Are you happy with keeping Zano away from his family?"
Me: "I'm not-."
Diana: "It's been almost two months that any of us have seen him here at the mansion! He never visits us anymore and I know that you're the cause of that." Wow! ... "Sophia is beside herself. She misses her big brother. She was looking forward into seeing him this Friday. Just imagine how she's going to feel when I tell her that Zano is not coming anymore? She'll be heartbroken!" Okay, I felt bad for Sophia. I know how she adores the giant and how the giant adores her back... "it's fine if you don't want to come Busi but please release Zano from your clutches and let him come home!" What? Release Zano from my clutches? This woman! ... "I know you might not understand this since you don't have a family but we are Zano's family and he needs us."
Me: "Diana-."
Diana: "I find it quite rude and unbecoming of you to turn down an invitation that had good intentions. But alas, it doesn't matter now. Your presence is not needed, just Zano's. So let him come-." I hung up. I didn't want to continue listening to her rubbish. The nerve of that woman! I was really pissed off right now. It's not my fault that the giant won't go to the gathering just because I don't want to go. The giant is a grown ass man people. Even though he made the decision of not going to the gathering because of me, he's the one that made it in the end. I didn't force him. And how can she put blame on me when she the one who made the giant unhappy. She's the one that did what she did at the Christmas lunch. Not me. And for her to say I don't have a family! What a low blow! I took calming breaths because I could feel my anger wanting to catch fire. She wasn't worth my anger. I will try to forget about everything she said. I wasn't even going to mention her phone call to the giant. It would just create another huge mess. No, I could handle this on my own. I couldn't go running to the giant every time I was faced with a dilemma. I got up to go the bathroom but staggered a little and sat back down. What was wrong with me? I still felt weak and dizzy. I thought buying the juice and snacks would help me but no. My mouth even felt dry and had a weird taste in it. I put my head down. Was I going to be able to attend class like this people? After maybe 5 minutes, I felt a little better and I dragged myself to class.

We were at the gym with the giant. We just finished our workout and he was now busy with his own. I was standing against the ring drinking water and trying to gather my breath. Suddenly my head started spinning and I saw double and blurry. What was happening to me? Did I over exert myself during the workout? Just as I was thinking that, my eyes rolled back and I felt myself falling and then everything went black.

Someone was calling out to me frantically. Even though the voice sounded so faraway I could hear the urgency and distraught in it. I opened my eyes a little disoriented and my vision blurry. The giant was kneeling next to me, he was holding me up and shaking me to arouse me I guess. He patted both my cheeks gently.
Zano: "My heart look at me." My vision cleared a little and I looked at him. His eyes were wild..filled with a lot of panic...fear and distress. I groaned putting my hand on my forehead.
Me: "How long have I been out for?"
Zano: "A minute tops." I groaned trying to sit up but the giant wasn't haven't it... "what happened woman? I heard you hit the floor. Fuck! I thought...I thought..." He swallowed hard blinking. Oh my gosh!
Me: "Honey I'm fine." I rubbed his arm.
Zano: "Stop saying that!" He shouted his voice breaking... "it's clear you're not fine. I'm taking you to the hospital now." He announced lifting me up in his arms.
Me: "I just felt a little dizzy honey that's all. I think I over exerted myself when we were working out. There's no need to take me to the hospital." He ignored me of course and continued to carry me to the car. He opened the door and put me on the passenger seat and buckled the seat belt for me..."Zano honey, really I'm fine-."
Zano: "Not another word Busisiwe." He cut me off harshly... "stay put. I'll take our things and close up." He ordered in that voice of his that didn't allow any arguments. I sighed in defeat. I knew I wasn't going to win on this. He closed my door and quickly went in the gym, and soon he was coming out with our things and locking the door. He was a man on a mission. His eyes were still crazed...and his movements were frantic. He threw our things in the backseat and got in the car, started the car and drove off. He was driving like a maniac to the hospital as if the hounds were after us or something. I put my head against the window and let him be. I literally didn't have any energy to say anything to him. He kept on passing glances at me like he was afraid that I would disappear into thin air or something. My poor giant.

The giant was crazy people! When we had arrived at the ER 20 minutes ago, he demanded that I be checked by the doctor. No no no. Let me backtrack a little. He first demanded that I be put on a stretcher. Imagine! When that didn't happen, he went berserk and threatened to kill them. Tell you no lies. Imagine! When I had tried to intervene to calm him down, he told me off. I then decided to keep my mouth shut and watch him be crazy. Then when we were told to wait by the couches because all the doctors were busy, he lost it again. I really had felt bad for those women at the reception. They were beside themselves with how to deal this raging bull that was in front of them. They kept giving me looks begging me to help them with their eyes but I was also lost for what to do. He kept pacing in front of the reception desk like an animal on a leash, and then he was on his phone with Khutsho. He demanded that Khutsho find him a doctor ASAP or he'll burn the whole fucken hospital to the ground. His words, not mine.  Guys! A woman sitting opposite me gave me a look that said 'control your beast of a man' and I just gave her a resting bitch face. How dare she? Mxm! The giant was also being extreme. You know, I had forgotten a little about this side of him. It's been a while since he has been this way. It was like that day at Xolile's, when he had gone crazy just because he didn't see me and made all the women there cry. You guys know the story. I guess my fainting earlier on triggered him somehow. Khutsho must've pulled through because not long after, a doctor came looking specifically for me and the giant. We followed the doctor to the examination room.

The doctor, who was Dr. Mkhize did the usual checks that doctors usually did. Checking of the pressure and putting of the stethoscope to my chest and back. He asked me what happened and I told him. He asked how long I've been feeling dizzy and tired and so on. During this whole time, the giant had been standing over the poor doctor watching everything he was doing. He's annoying! It was a little unnerving for me so can you just imagine how to poor doctor was feeling since he didn't know the giant as I did. But he didn't comment or seem to mind. He just focused on me and what I was saying.
Zano: "So what's wrong with her?" The giant demanded to know, crowding Dr. Mkhize. This man!
Me: "Zano give him some breathing space bo!" It was like I said nothing. He didn't move an inch away from the doctor... "Zano!" I shouted angry. Dr. Mkhize chuckled lightly.
Dr. Mkhize: "No it's fine." He said to me.
Zano: "Doc what's wrong with my woman?" His patience was running thin.
Dr. Mkhize: "Well...I'm not sure yet. I'll know for sure after we take and run the blood tests but if you want me to guess from her symptoms, then I would say that she's expecting."
Zano: "Expecting? What the fuck is that?" He spat out angrily.
Dr. Mkhize: "It means your woman here is pregnant."
Zano: "What?" The giant staggered backing away from Dr. Mkhize like he just shot him to the chest.
