Finale

We arrived at the safe house. It really was secluded. It was practically deep in the forests. I don't know how they found places like these. I was in the bedroom where I was going to sleep with Uyi and Sophia. I say only with Uyi and Sophia because I knew the giant wasn't going to be sleeping with us. How could he when he had to prepare for war? Don't want to lie, I was terrified. Don't know how we were all going to survive this. I mean, the whole secret service wanted us dead people. Who were we against such a powerful and dangerous organization? I trusted the giant people but he wasn't God at the end of the day. Sophia was laying on the bed next to Uyi. She had finally closed her eyes to sleep. She must've been traumatized.The giant entered with Khutsho on toe next to him.
Zano: "Let him tend to your arm woman." I had forgotten all about how I had been grazed by a bullet. Now that he mentioned it I started to feel a bit of pain.
Khutsho: "Hey Supe."
Me: "Hey Khutsho." I said sitting on the chair. I removed the sleeve of the wounded arm and let Khutsho do what he did best. The whole time that Khutsho was attending to my wound, the giant paced the room. He was tense and full of pent up energy. I could see that he was deep in thought. I'm sure he was plotting and strategizing what to do in his head. Khutsho finished and left the room... "honey all that pacing is making me dizzy." I told him. He stopped and looked at me.
Zano: "We'll survive this woman. We have to." Oh my gosh! My giant was also scared. I stood up and walked to him.
Me: "I know we'll survive honey because you'll make it so." I told him with all the confidence I could master. He stared at me for a long time and then he nodded.
Zano: "With every fiber in my being woman, I'll make it so." He told me strongly... "a lot of dangerous people owe me favors. It's time for me to collect on those favors." He told me.
Me: "Whatever happens Zano, you have to come back to us alive. I won't accept anything less than that." He swallowed.
Zano: "Won't let anything keep me away from the both of you my heart. I will come back." I nodded satisfied with his answer... "how's your head? You had to kill a lot of people back there at the house." He was concerned for me.
Me: "I'm fine Zano, don't worry about me. I needed to do what I needed to do." He nodded and pulled me into his arms hugging me.
Zano: "I want you to listen to me carefully woman." He said to me after a short while pulling back. His hands were on my shoulders.
Me: "I'm listening." He closed his eyes briefly and opened them again. They were now more serious than ever.
Zano: "I will need you to be brave for me a little longer. While I'm out there fighting the war with my men, if and only if woman, this location is made, I will need you to do everything in your power to get into safety. Do you understand what I'm trying to say to you woman?" I nodded. I understood very well. It meant that there was a high chance that I would need to kill more secret agents... "now, Killer and some other bodyguards will stay behind so that they can protect you here but there's so much they can do against the enemy we're facing." I swallowed.
Me: "Don't worry honey, I'll do whatever it takes for all of us to survive."
Zano: "Please woman, you have to." He squeezed my shoulders... "I would say amongst all the women here, you're the most skilled and capable. With that soft and good heart of yours, I'm scared that they'll drag you down if something happens. Nothing can happen to any of you woman." I knew he meant specifically me, Uyi, Sophia and my mother.
Me: "Don't worry. I know what's important Zano. I'll protect our family." He sighed and nodded squeezing me to him again. His heart was beating so fast against his chest. My giant! He was really scared. Please God. We all had to survive this. I beg of You.
Zano: "Khutsho will make sure to bring you diapers and other things that all of you will need." Thank God because we hadn't had time to grab anything from the house when we had left in a rush. Oh my God! Our beautiful home people. Don't think we were going to be able to live in there after this war was over. I mean, a lot of blood was spilled there. It was tainted... "I need to go my heart." Oh my gosh! Already? I swallowed blinking.
Me: "Zano-."
Zano: "I know." He kissed me deeply and long... "I will come back to you alive." He promised.
Me: "I'll be waiting." He grunted and squeezed me again into a hug and breathed me in... "I love you."
Zano: "You are my heart." He said firmly and vigorously. He went to where Uyi and Sophia were sleeping on the bed. He stared at them for quite a while, and then he bent down and gave them each a kiss, and then he left.
