A very peaceful morning for me. The ray of sunshine hits the small windows of Lucas’ house. Again, I could hear the noise of the animals, like the first thing that I heard whenever I wake up in the morning. And instead of making me feel disturbed, I felt peace and calm.

Heto na naman ako at nagluluto ng umagahan para kay Lucas. Every morning, he goes to work so I needed to ready everything for him. Mabuti na lang din at marunong na akong magluto so it’s easy for me to move inside the kitchen.

“Lucas?! Are you done?!” Tawag ko kay Lucas na ngayon ay kasalukuyan pa na naliligo. Lucas is a guy that spends a lot of time in shower. Hindi yata matatapos ang isang ito hangga’t hindi siya umaabot ng isang oras.

“Sandali lang, mahal ko! Maliligo ka na ba? Hindi pa ako tapos, eh!” Sigaw niya pabalik.

Napailing ako. See? He really spent to much time inside the banyo. Sobrang tagal niyang matapos. Kaya maaga siyang gumigising sa umaga because he wants to take a bath early in the morning.

“Hindi pa naman. But the food is already cooked. You have to eat na. It’s already 7 am. You have to hurry up! Maiiwan ka na ng iba!” I shouted from the outside of the bathroom.

“Hindi pa ako nakapag-shampoo, mahal ko! Pramis, matatapos din ako dito! Kung gutom ka na, kumain ka na lang. Huwag kang papagutom!” Sigaw niya mula sa loob.

Napabuntong-hininga ako. See what I mean? He doesn’t even care if he would be late. As long as makakaligo siya nang halos isang oras, it’s worth it for him. Though, I do not have a problem with it, sadyang male-late lang siya ngayon. No wonder why sobrang bango ni Lucas.

“Alright! Kakain na ako, ah! Nagugutom na ako, eh! And please! Hurry up, alright?!” Sigaw ko.

“Oo, mahal ko!” Sigaw niya.

I shook my head. Our voices are probably heard from the people outside. Siguro rinig na rinig ng mga kapit-bahay namin, but we don’t care, though. Sila rin naman, eh. Maiingay din.

Also, I’m used to Lucas calling me ‘mahal ko’. At first, I find it really cringe because even Philip doesn’t call me that. But nasanay na rin ako dahil hindi naman siya tumitigil sa kakatawag sa akin no’n.

I then immediately went to the kitchen table. I sat on the kitchen chair. And of course, I started eating. Gutom na gutom na ako, eh.

Tapos na akong kumain nang lumabas si Lucas mula sa banyo. A towel is covering his lower body while his upper body is bare. Water droplets are falling freely down his chiseled chest and ripped abs.

I admit, Lucas can make me blush sometimes amidst his so annoying personality. He can make my cheeks reddened and give me butterflies. And it’s making me so confused. Because I felt the same way towards Philip.

Maybe, he’s my new found best friend?

“Go on and change, Lucas. You better hurry up. Diba sabi ko na naghihintay na sila sayo? Baka ma-late pa sila dahil sayo. It might rain baka mabasa pa kayo,” ani ko.

Though, I do not know if he’s listening kasi sumisipol lang siya habang kalmadong naupo sa kitchen chair. Tapos ay nagsimula nang kumain without even putting some clothes on. He’s eating with only towels on.

But guess what? I don’t feel uncomfortable anyway. Nasanay na ako sa lalaking ito.

“Lucas, why don’t you change first before eating?” tanong ko sa kanya. More like telling him what to do.

“Saka na. Magbibihis din naman ako pagkatapos, eh. Kakain muna ako. Gutom, eh,” aniya habang punong-puno ng pagkain ang bibig.

“I told you not to talk while your mouth is full, remember?” ani ko.
