Chapter 3

Chanwoo's POV

When we walked back to the dining room our parents looked at us. My mom and his looked relieved.

My dad seemed satisfied.

Yunhyeong's dad gave me a look, but he then nodded at me and continued eating.
I guess I did something well after all.

We both sat down and continued to eat.
"How about you open the gift I gave you?" I suggested. "Maybe it'll cheer you up a bit..."

Yunhyeong hesitated but nodded, taking the box I gave him. He opened it, looking at the bracelet.

"Chanwoo... It's pretty..." He smiled. "Can you wear it on me?"

I nodded and took the bracelet out, gently taking Yunhyeong's hand and wearing it on his wrist.
He smiled softly, looking at the bracelet before looking at me.

"I... I like it. Thank you for bringing me a gift..."

"I'm glad you like it," I said, letting go of his hand so it won't seem rude. "Would it be okay if we talk a bit after we finish eating?"

He nodded. "We... we can sit outside in the garden."

"I'd like it." I looked at my parents. "Is it okay?"

"Of course. We'd like you two to get to know each other better."

"Sir?" I looked hopefully at Yunhyeong's dad.

"I'll have a man to keep a look after you two." He nodded.

"Dad..."

"It's not up for an argument, Yunhyeong."

Yunhyeong sighed softly but nodded. I thanked his dad. It's better than nothing.

It looks like his dad is really watching over his omega son. I can't blame him, I'm an alpha he doesn't know close to his omega boy.

And his son is really precious. I can't blame him.

My dad wasn't that protective of me. He only scolded me when I misbehaved and made sure I grew up to be a mannered alpha.

"I won't take a lot of your time," I promised Yunhyeong.

"It's... Okay. It's the least I can do..."

After we finished eating our parents walked to sit in the living room while Yunhyeong led me outside to the garden.

We walked there for a bit, and I could sense there was another guy with us, though I couldn't see him.

We found a place to sit, and I made sure to keep my distance from Yunhyeong.

"I... I apologize..." Yunhyeong said quietly, looking down. "My first impression is probably pretty awful..."

"You have nothing to apologize for. I completely understand it." I promised him.

"No. I should still apologize. My dad is the pack leader and I act like a baby... I didn't mean to hurt you if I did."

"You didn't hurt me at all." I shook my head. "But you made me really worried..."

"I really didn't mean to..." He sighed. "I'm sorry. I'm going through a lot and this sudden marriage... It was too much. I can't fix my first impression... But I hope I didn't ruin everything..."

"I told you, it's completely fine. Let's forget about this and try to get to know each other instead."

"Well... You know my name. We're around the same age... I have two good omega friends and one best friend..." Yunhyeong said.
"Besides that... Well, I enjoy cooking. I make sure to meet with my friends... Basically it. What about you?"
