Chapter 18

Donghyuk's POV

Minho really is a strong wolf.
Besides growling at Yunhyeong who came to change his bandages, he was doing okay.

After only two days of resting, he already managed to get up and walk a bit around the room, even if he did that slowly.

Since he was in his wolf form, we counted on Chanwoo to bring something from his patrols, though I went out too when I felt like I have to go out for a bit.

I didn't want to leave Minho on his own for too long. I also didn't have too much of an appetite and I barely slept. I was worried sick and made sure to look after him first before caring for myself.

I think that if he'll continue making progress like this, he really should get better by the beginning of next week.

"You're doing so good Dong..." Yunhyeong said softly as he was gently brushing my fur.

Minho was sleeping next to me. He's sleeping a lot, but I understand him. He should rest.
He lost quite a lot of blood and he was finally healing.

I moved my tail, resting my head down. I assume we caused no less problems to Yunhyeong and Chanwoo. They just moved in together and they already need to deal with this.

But if I didn't have them... I would have lost my mind. Chanwoo wouldn't be able to bring Minho into his territory. I wouldn't be able to look after him alone.

I don't know how much Seunghoon could help if he couldn't prevent it in the first place...

I whined softly, nuzzling Yunhyeong's hand. He smiled at me.

"It's okay... I know you're worried. We're here if you need anything..." he hummed. "Minho is healing well. But don't let him move too much. He's really lucky to have you..."

I licked Yunhyeong's hand, he smiled and leaned down to press a few kisses against my head.
"You should eat more Dong... I know Minho would be really worried if he finds out you barely eat..."

I gently nuzzled Yunhyeong's neck before looking at Minho. I should eat more. But he needs to eat now more than I do. He's recovering, and Chanwoo isn't bringing much.

I can't get upset with him. It's not his job to bring food to another alpha. His job is to look after his omega. Which I hope he's doing. Once Minho gets better, I'll be fine. Even if I lose weight, I can gain it back.

I started to groom him, paying attention to his injured spots as well. I heard Yunhyeong sighing softly before leaving the room.
I should really remember to thank him for his help. The brat too.

"Please get better soon..." I hoped, making sure I'm being careful. Thank god it happened to him in his wolf form at least...

I can't imagine what injuries like this could have done him. I wondered if maybe I should go to his pack and let them know he's okay. Or at least talk with Seunghoon.

I think Chanwoo said he'd let them know, but I also know they don't really like him. But I should be able to cross. But I also can't leave Minho...

I can't leave my mate.

I finished grooming him and closed my eyes. I'll get some rest and go out to look for something for him to eat.

I woke up when I heard groaning of pain, I opened my eyes and saw Minho changed back to his human form, looking exhausted.
I instantly got up, wiggling my tail as I nuzzled and nudged him. Minho groaned again before letting out a soft chuckle.

"Easy, gorgeous... I'm fine..." he said, bringing a hand to rub my nose. "I'm fine..."

"Mino..." I sobbed as I changed back, hugging him.

"Shhh... It's okay, gorgeous..." He gently brushed my hair. "God, you're amazing. I'm so sorry for worrying you..."

"I was so scared...! I thought I'm going to lose you! Why Seunghoon wasn't with you?"

"I sent him to guard the other border..." he said and gently stroked my cheek. "You're honestly amazing... staying with me all this time like this... making sure I'm recovering..."

"Of course I'll stay with you!" I argued. "You're my mate! And I was worried sick...!"

"I'm a bit better... I just need to rest. And some clothes..." Minho smiled softly, kissing me. "Your alpha knows better than to leave you like this... I'm not abandoning my gorgeous mate..."

"God Mino! You idiot! I was so worried! And I'd hit you if I could!"

"It's not like I asked to be attacked..." He sighed, before groaning, placing a hand over his injuries. "Shit... Gorgeous... I hate to ask, but do you mind please helping me with the bandages...?"

I did my best to calm down, getting off the bed and wearing one of my robes that was in an opened suitcase before checking Minho's bandages. I took them off, checking his injuries.
They weren't bad looking as they were when he was a wolf, but he's definitely going to have scars.

"I... I'll bring the first aid kit." I said, "don't move. I don't want it to open."

He nodded and quickly made my way to the bathroom to get the kit.
I think I'm starting to feel a bit dizzy I was in my wolf form for a couple of days in a row and I didn't eat properly. But it can wait, first I need to take care of Minho.

Minho first. Collapsing later.

"It's probably going to hurt... So please bear with it. I want to clean the injury a bit before bandaging it..." I mumbled, taking the alcohol and a cotton pad.
He hissed as I started to clean it.

I leaned down to kiss him softly before continuing my actions.

"You're such a strong alpha... You just need to bear with it for a bit..." I mumbled softly, focusing on cleaning his injuries. It looks better than it did when I first saw him.

Those assholes are going to get their teeth shoved down their throat if I'll see them.

After I finished there was a pile of used cotton pads. "God... Look at it..." I mumbled, holding my head as I took the bandages.
I already started hearing ringing in my ears. But I need to finish looking after Minho first.

"Get your shit together... Just a bit more..." I thought, shaking my head before starting to bandage Minho.

"Do you want to eat...? I don't assume what we brought you was enough..."

"I'm fine..." he groaned as I bandaged his injuries. "Just need more rest..."

"You really should..." I said softly, making sure I'm not hurting him. There was still a bit of bleeding, but it wasn't as intense as before.

"Done... Make sure you're comfortable... And I'll come soon..." I mumbled, wondering if I have the power to take everything back or not. But I can't just leave these disgusting cotton balls on the floor.

I tried to get up but I collapsed down on the bed.
"Gorgeous...?" I heard Minho groan, gently shaking me, but I was too out of it to respond. My head was spinning, everything felt blurred and I had no more power to move.

Maybe I should have listened to Yunhyeong, but my alpha was more important.
